Good question - I start a month of working 6PM to 6AM six days a week tonight. Ugh Planning on just logging for whatever meal I may be eating - if it’s a 4PM breakfast, it’s breakfast. If it’s a 3 AM dinner...and so forth

Best advice I’ve ever gotten (although sometimes hard to apply): the only person you’re competing against (or comparing yourself against) is you - be better today than your were yesterday

I turn 47 in less than a week. Goal to get back to 200lbs by age 50 (275 this AM). Know I need to set some short range, intermediate goals - this month is simply logging everything I eat. That would be my recommendation: small, discrete, acheivae goals along the path the the bigger goal

I empathize (and then some). 47, heaviest I’ve ever been, and two weeks out of shoulder surgery. Trying to make the rehab a life changing period. Only cleared to ride the stationary bike, but have hit it 6 days out of the last 7. Goal to start walking for exercise as soon as they let me and then running once cleared for…

About to turn 47 & almost 280lbs - goal to be 200 lbs by age 50. Know I’ve got to make some shorter range goals, but that’s the biggie. Most immediate goal is “just log everything” I’ve got a lot of “middle stuff” to quantify :)

I can’t run yet, but it’s a goal as soon as the Doc clears me to do so

I've a greater than 50% partial tear of my rotator cuff. They don't want to do surgery since it's not guaranteed I'd get full recovery and as it is I appear to have no diminished range of motion although for me it is. I have hyper mobile joints to which means there's also arthritis. I get an MRI in May just to see if it's…

what did you have your shoulder surgery for? I've a wonky shoulder, they're so annoying [/quote] Ruptured bicep tendon is what sent me to the Dr. MRI confirmed Bicep tendon rupture, partial 50%ish tears of sub-scapular muscle and rotator cuff (have had shoulder issues for years), and some arthritis as well. Told the Doc to…

Day 1 MFP for me. Goal to lose about 80lbs by age 50 (turn 47 in a week) - welcome to add me if you like

Day 1 of MFP; recommended by a coworker who has had success with it Goal: 200 lbs by age 50 (turn 47 in a week); will need to develop some more short-range goals to strive for Current: 277.8 as of this morning; pretty much the heaviest I’ve ever been. Shoulder surgery 13 days ago; in the very early stages of rehab for it.…
