Hi, my name is Mary Kate and I recently turned 32 years old. I’ve had the MyFitness Pal app for years and have had tons of success. That being said, I never felt the need for “blog motivation,” until now! I’ve always been tall and athletic and weight has never been a problem! I had a two tier spinal fusion in June of 2018, and have recently ( as in February) started to weight train and run again. My body aches constantly, and in addition to that I’m 2 inches shorter so any weight gain is noticeable! I’m on the struggle bus at this very moment and need some accountability, motivation, and good recipes to help me transition back into my old way of life!!! Can someone help a girl out!? 2,3,hell 20 is better than 1, right? Let’s be friends!!!

I empathize (and then some). 47, heaviest I’ve ever been, and two weeks out of shoulder surgery. Trying to make the rehab a life changing period. Only cleared to ride the stationary bike, but have hit it 6 days out of the last 7. Goal to start walking for exercise as soon as they let me and then running once cleared for that as well.

Good luck and stay disciplined on your path!
