Ya I find it easy to either be on it or be off it. My friend just switches back and forth. I get dizzy. 2 weeks she’s on it 1 month she’s off it. I don’t think I have the will power to do it that much. I’m about to go on vacation so that’s the main reason I’m asking. I want to be able to enjoy my vacation but I’ll be with…

I did a lot of thorough research and my doctor incourages it but I decided it on my own. I’m 19 with type 2 diabetes and various other auto immune/ inflamitory diseases. I weigh about 314 pounds. I live a moderately active life style with lots of walking and riding my horse. My problem was that before keto I was physically…

I’ll be honest, I’ve been keto for almost 2 months now and have lost 21 pounds and I still don’t see a difference. It can take a lot of time but you just have to keep going.
-
I also want to update everyone that I had a faulty scale and have not lost 30 pounds - only 21 which is still good

Thanks y’all! I’ve been wearing it for about 2-3 months now. I’m sure it’s close to accurate I just had no idea my body actually burned that much

I got up to 1500 today!!! I feel like I ate thanksgiving dinner though 😂😂

I will try the eggs with butter! I can’t really afford a lot more than chicken. (I purchase chick fil a off my meal card at school) I’ll try to eat more avocados 😭 Are pistachios ok? My dad got me some for Christmas but I haven’t touched them. I also have cashews. Haven’t touched those either 😅 Peanut butter has lots of…

I’ve thought about berries but I’m unsure of how much to have. Berries have natural sugar in them that will spike my blood sugar then drop it. I have to be very careful with them. But the sugar probably would make me more hungry. Thank you!

Lol I would ditch the salad but that’s all the veggies I get 😂😂. I don’t normally eat much of it though. I try to eat a lot of chicken. Also I’m just trying to drink enough water to keep me hydrated. When I’m hydrated my blood sugar stays a lot lower. I’m working on balanceinf everything. There’s so many numbers and…

I just find a hard time finding a way to squeeze all these different foods together while staying at 25-35 carbs ya know?

Thank you! Lol people criticize me for 1/4 the avacado but I really don’t like them. I only eat them because there high and fat and fill me up 😂. I will definitely do more sour cream! Also what meat has more fat in it? I eat a lot of bacon and sometimes steak. But I’m a broke college kid and usually live off of precooked…

Girl add me! I’ve felt with binge eating my entire life. Now I’m 19 in college and dealing with type 2 diabetes because of it. Currently on a keto diet (which helps with some appetite things)

For everyone to see and critique this is what I eat in a good day (about 2200 calories) but I can’t ever get myself to eat EVERYTHING. I usually end up skipping both snacks and sometimes don’t even eat lunch (I’m a college student). sometimes I don’t eat breakfast or lunch (I know that’s bad but I like sleep and sleep…

Thank you! I aim to eat about 120 grams of protein a day. Honestly protein is what I eat the most of. Do you know of a cream that doesn’t have any carbs? I’ve been using heavy whipping cream but because I’m so restricted in carbs I can’t put much because it has carbs just like milk
-
The problem is that I’m diabetic and getting my numbers as low as possible is what will help me loose weight most effectively. I wish I could add some carbs in but my blood sugar is still running slightly high with 25-35 grams of carb.

Ya I’m not happy with this medicine. The day after I take it I can’t even look at food. All my doctor did was put me on an anti nausea medicine. I’ve been to other doctors and they all do the same thing so I’m just kinda stuck. I have a very sensitive digestive track so the littlest things throw me off and make me sick. I…

Another thing that may help is just getting into a better head space. My sister never did anything for herself. She told herself she didn’t deserve it. So my family and I would regularly take her to a spa or to get her nails done. Heck you could something as simple as getting up in the morning and writing 10 things you…

Carbs are your best friend. Also take what you think is a normal portion and double it. For example. A normal amount of cereal is about a cup. Eat 2 cups. If that’s to hard try 1 1/2 cups. I have a different extreme of an eating disorder but my sister was anorexic and the tip of doubling helped her. Hope this helps!

I try to eat high fat snacks like whisps and mooncheese to help supplement. I forgot I also eat a lot of cheese with my proteins
-
Lol I know I meant to say the only fats I’m consuming 😂😂

Its been about a month. The first week I lost 10 pounds in water weight. I’ve been going down ever since. My doctor knows about it. She doesn’t seem concerned. She does want my calorie intake higher and I’m trying really hard. I honestly only consume protein though. I drink coffee with heavy cream and I eat avocados. I’m…

Yes i weigh everything I eat unless I’m eating out.

I’ve been losing about 5 pounds a week. I’m eating a lot of protein (35-40%) I eat a lot of chicken, steak, bacon, eggs. My problem is that I’m diabetic and my doctor thinks it’s necessary to put me on this drug called byduron. Essentially it takes away my appetite. Because I’m already low carb and don’t really have food…

I weigh 310 pounds the more you weigh naturally you burn more calories. As I get smaller my numbers will get smaller.
-
I also wanted to say that I know caloric deficits are good, but when it gets too low your run the risk of your body going into starvation mode. Which I’m confused about because isn’t it eating my fat, so technically is this big of a caloric deficit going to hurt or help me?
-
I do both keto and calorie counting. I think they both play a role I weight loss. With keto as you know it’s low carb high fat. When you look into the science behind why type 2 diabetics are the way they are, It all comes down to the carbs. carbs are simply not meant to be eaten in the portions we so often indulge in.…

I also don’t think calories in vs calories out is the only factor that people need to take into account. Let’s say your taking in 50% of your diet in carbs. Carbs, diabetic or not, spike your blood sugar, meaning your body has to send out tons of insulin to get your blood sugar back down. That works fine for most people…

Completely depends on your body type. Personally the keto diet has been working for me. I’m a type 2 diabetic and my body just can’t process carbs. Protein turns into carbs spiking the blood sugar, just taking longer and not as bad. Personally I eat 5% carbs 25% protein and 70% fat. I’ve already dropped 30 pounds in a…
