  • I literally fluctuate 10 pounds (sometimes more) every week. As long as I'm doing what I need to be doing, and keep heading in the right direction, it all evens out with eventual weight loss in the end.
  • heart attack, get out of debt, vacation, live life.
  • Seeing a hint of my ankles!
  • I do low carb and also fast. Not as hard, bad, or scary as I thought it would be and is definitely doable for me long term. I've been doing 5:2 intermittent fasting for 5-6 weeks. Mondays are my water only days, and usually Thursdays are a very low calorie day (less than 500 cals). I find that this helps me keep my…
  • Tremendous job - very well done!
  • Been on 300mg Wellbutrin for 20 years. Great for depression and feeling like you have the energy to get through the day, but no for weight loss.
  • What a great thread! My Dr. feels I've been peri for a few years now. Some days I feel completely bonkers. Hot flashes, menstrual cycle is all over the place, my hair is falling out (I'm just about eyebrowless at this point), I'm hypothyroid, etc., etc. I feel like I could go on and on and on but you guys get it lol.
  • Hi Madison. You can add me if you like. I've only been at it a little less than 4 weeks and have lost 7 pounds. I choose to do intermittent fasting 5:2 and low-er carbs because it helps me keep my calories in check. Best wishes to you.
  • Had a great walking session last night - did some intervals (speed and incline). The backs of my legs and rear end are on FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRE! <3
  • AF since April 28. For me, drinking makes it almost impossible for me to lose weight. My goal for this month is to stay AF until Memorial Weekend - when I'll enjoy some everclear soaked fruits I've been patiently tending to. smile: My long term goal is to only consume alcohol once a month.
  • Did some walking outside yesterday! Had to split it up to two 15 minute walks, it ended up being a total of 1.7 miles. It felt good. :)
  • Kicked it up just a bit on the treadmill last night (cat was happily snoozing where I'd be working out doing a Leslie Sansone DVD lol). I added a .5 incline, and .3 faster mph pace for 5 extra minutes. My hamstrings and bum are a little sore today. I'LL TAKE IT! I'm down 5.6 pounds overall and am pretty happy about that.…
  • What a great group. I am desperately trying to cut down on the amount of alcohol I drink. Boy - do I like getting a good drunk on. I had zero accountability for years and getting drunk was a regular weekend thing (sometimes a weekday thing too). I have had zero alcohol so far this month - which is a feat and cause for…
  • No one who works hard and loses weight wants to gain it back. Life happens.
  • Hi. I'm new, would love to have a couple supportive buddies along the journey. I am not sure if I am "keto" but I try to keep carbs between 25-50 a day, get moderate amounts of protein, and high fat. I am also testing the waters on the 5:2 IF (eating for 5 days, fasting for 2 days). I also recently started getting some…
  • I've had some luck reducing water retention drinking dandelion tea, and reducing overall puffy tummy with regular use of probiotics.
  • Hi everyone: I am still on a positive track! I took Sunday off, but got in a slightly longer treadmill session last night. Looking forward to walking 2 miracle miles with Leslie tonight. If it stays night outside today, I might be able to get in a 15 minute walk on my break. I really am feeling better and better over these…
  • I had a great treadmill session (for me) Friday night. Saturday I did 2 mile miracle walk. This is seriously the first time I've exercised on a Friday or weekend day in .... I can't even remember how long. Looking forward to doing 2 miles tonight!
  • I also make a "breakfast" bake that I'll eat for any meal. Its not low fat or low sodium, but the bonus is the portions are HUGE and very satisfying. I either bake it in a 13x9 pan and cut it into 8 pieces or put it all in the crockpot for 8 hours. 16 oz ground pork sausage 18 large eggs 8 ounces cheddar cheese 8 ounces…
  • slow cooker chicken (I use breasts), salsa, and cheddar cheese is one of my favorite, easy, low carb/low sugar. I usually make a big crock pot full and set it when I go to bed so all I have to do is put it in containers.
  • I'm so out of shape. Doing the 2 mile miracle walk with the stretchy band on Wednesday really kicked my butt - I'm sore all over. I did do a pretty decent (for me) walk on the treadmill last night. Tonight the goal is to do the treadmill, tomorrow the 2 mile walk. This is usually where I fail - Fridays and weekends make me…
  • Thanks for this. I thought I was losing my mind when I take my temp and it is ALWAYS 196-197 degrees (even in the dr. office). My husband teases me and calls me a snake. I am convinced this (low temp) impacts how well my body burns calories overall. Before I was hypothyroid I rocked it - worked out all the time, ate a…
  • Hi - starting over again. I've walked to pretty much all of Leslie Sansone's DVDs. I just pulled out the 5 mile miracle walks (1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 mile DVDs). My goals are pretty simple since I'm just getting started - just to get moving again! Walk the 2 mile DVD on MWF, and alternate with a half hour on the treadmill…
  • Lost an ostrich egg so far. Looking forward to losing that elephant penis :p :D
  • So, just to be sure I'm interpreting this right: You fast for 2 days a week? Total fasting with no food, or "fasting" when you only eat 500 calories at dinner time. Kinda confused with the original post.
  • I love marijuana
  • I've been on Seroquel for many years. At one point in my life I was a size 2, and had the energy and strength to workout 1.5 hours 6 days a week - every week. I was able to maintain for a very long time, even on high doses of Seroquel (900-1200mg day). Then "life" happened and I put on 80 pounds over the last 6 years. So…
