This is what I bought, I'm pretty sure I only paid $3 though-I think they mark up on their online shopping option? https://www.meijer.com/shop/en/pantry/baking/sugar-substitutes/meijer-liquid-sweetener-with-sucralose-1-68-oz/p/88692621697 They also had this, which is the brand name liquid option I guess. I'm cheap so I…

I recently switched to a lower carb way of eating/not tracking or counting calories, and in the process eliminated a lot of the higher calorie foods I was eating before, (and the foods that I had a hard time practicing good portion control with). I'm now losing too much weight and I'm getting a bit too close to the low end…

I'm lower carb and have found that half&half is good in coffee, was able to swap out my old creamer with it.

Just checked out their site, neat concept :)

Thanks for the tip! I just got back from the store and bought the store brand liquid sucrolose, it was $3 for 200 drops/servings. Going to try it in my coffee and see how I like it :)

Thanks for sharing this, just watched it and thought it was really interesting! I'm not keto, but am becoming more mindful of my artificial sweetener intake. Recently went from 2-4+ cans of diet soda a day, plus several packets a day of Splenda in my coffee, to completely cutting out the diet soda. However, I've added a…

I have a flat stomach and have achieved it by being at a low body weight (lower end of the healthy BMI range), lowering carb intake to minimize bloating and then genetics-I'm pear shaped and carry my extra fluff on my bums/thighs, not my stomach area. Exercise has had very minimal impact, since the only thing I do is daily…

Oh gosh I forgot about coffee-that definitely is the first thing on my must have list, lol. Various flavored beans and half&half make me human :D

I did DASH for about 3 months and then decided to quit. At the beginning of it/the beginning of the year I needed to take care of some weight creep and initially it seemed to be working well (I was following the NIH's DASH servings recommendations for a 1,400 calorie intake, which would put me at a deficit), but after a…

I started lowering my carb intake last month and had an initial goal to be at or below 100g net carbs. Since then I've settled in the 50g-75g range. I'm going to have to tweak things again soon though, since I'm continuing to lose weight and am now about ready to go under the low end of my maintenance range. I'm thinking…

I try not to worry about things that are out of my control, this just adds stress to my life which is unhealthy. I practice good food handling methods, (wash my veggies, store foods correctly, cook foods correctly etc). As for healthy-I'm not quite sure what you mean by this, but I eat the foods that fit into my…

I'm on a huge hard boiled egg kick right now-eat them with a bit of salt and then honey mustard, such a good snack :)

I've been maintaining a large weight loss for 6 years now. Exercise has never been a factor in my weight management plan, I control my weight 100% by how many calories I eat. I ate out 4 times this weekend, on top of eating at a family members house. I stayed completely on plan because I pre-planned what I was going to eat…

My current staples- lots of veggies, both fresh and frozen frozen berries cottage cheese various cheeses-Parmesan, co-jack, string cheese etc frozen salmon and shrimp several cuts of beef, pork and chicken (frozen) pistachios spices and low carb condiments eggs butter and olive oil black and green olives flavored Greek…

Love Subway! They have a nutrition calculator on their website-use it to pre-plan what you're going to get and find something that fits into your calorie targets (click on the sub that you want and the calculator link will be listed under it). Welcome to the group :)

OP, if chocolate cake doesn't fit into your plan or you have trouble controlling yourself around it, then why are you still bringing it into your house/putting yourself into situations where you feel out of control? Most people can still fit in some treats into their calorie plan, in moderation, but if you're not at this…

I eat 50g-75g net carbs and have a varied diet full of veggies, meat, seafood, dairy, eggs, some fruit, nuts and seeds and I still have room for some grains, sweet treats, I eat out a couple times a week etc. OP, is your doctor telling you to only eat meat and cheese? Otherwise you have lots of room with 100g of carbs for…

I've been doing IF protocols for 7 years now. I enjoyed 5:2IF and it was a good fit for me as I transitioned from the weight loss phase, into maintenance. If you only have a few pounds left to lose then it may be a good fit for you as well-no harm in giving it a try, but I'd comitt to a month at least because it's going to…

Regular ice cream doesn't fit into my nutritional goals though, so it wouldn't be best for me.

Has anyone tried the Halo Top Pops yet? Curious how they taste vs the regular ice cream pints.

Fantastic milestone! One thing you may discover is that as you get to a lower weight your perception will change and what you currently think is too low, may actually be where you find yourself most comfortable at :) There will be a lot of adjusting as you get closer to your initial goal weight-don't be afraid to 'try on'…

I haven't seen it at my grocery store, but I'm going to be on the lookout for it now, thanks!

I recently started adding a half of an avocado to my smoothies but the darn things ripen/go bad so fast, so I did some googling and found out you can cut them in half (peeled), and then plastic wrap them/bag them and freeze them for several months. I haven't noticed a taste difference in my smoothies and it's nice to be…

This. I stopped adding ice a while ago. Instead I use frozen spinach and kale and then frozen berries. The avocados I add are usually frozen too.

I'm aiming for 50g-75g of net carbs a day right now and have lost several pounds without any problem. You may see a slight jump on the scale if you add a few carbs back in, but that's just water retention and isn't a big deal.

I switched from regular to diet 7 years ago, when I started my weight loss phase. Since then I've drank 2-4+ cans of diet soda a day. I haven't grown a tail yet :# I'm actually cutting it out right now, in large part to save some money (I was a Coke brand snob, lol), but I'm still using artificial sweetener in my coffee…

My grandma rented out her basement to a nice older guy, who also did something similar, except he had the courtesy of doing it in the driveway :p I was just a kid and was only involved peripherally, but it still had an impact-I can't imagine what you went through -hugs-

Drinking a green smoothie right now, love my Nutribullet :)

This cannot be emphasized enough. The weight loss phase is for a few months to a couple years usually. During that time people are usually hyper focused on their weight loss goals and are motivated. Maintenance is the complete opposite. We're looking at 20, 30, 40+ YEARS. The focus wanes, the motivation fades into the…

OP, I'm going to assume that you've never had to maintain a significant weight loss, long term. Because weight loss is the easy part, it's maintenance that's a *kitten*. The thing about habits is that they're very ingrained into your life and once the motivation of the short weight loss period ends, it's very easy for…
