  • I log over on cronometer, which gives a more accurate breakdown of micros. Today I'm at 3530mg, which is 136% of the RDA of potassium, for my stats, (and I still have some extra calories to play with, so this number may go up). I can give you a breakdown of what I'm eating today, if you're interested. But, lots of veggies,…
  • I drink 3-4 cups a day and haven't had any issues with it. I add a packet of splenda and then half&half to it.
  • I second this-my first though when reading the OP was strep. Most Med Centers can check for that (as well as pneumonia), and can give prescriptions/necessary treatment if needed. My family's gone in for both and its cost us under $200 out of pocket with no insurance factored in (we have a high deductible HSA so pay out of…
  • I've been experimenting with lower carb for a few days and not even getting keto low, (I'm anywhere from 40-75ish net carbs a day), I've been experiencing some pretty intense appetite reduction, to the point where I have to be intentional about making sure I'm eating. The whole things been a bit surreal! So, one may not…

  • I could have posted almost identical pictures about a week ago, except I called it being bloated. I'm in maintenance and am already a healthy weight/BMI, so it was driving me nuts :p To try and fix it I'm currently experimenting with different foods/carb ratios. This is just for me personally-but by cutting my carbs down…
  • Weight loss happens when you're at the correct calorie deficit for your weight loss goals, not because of any specific macros ratio. WW works because it's a very low calorie plan, though many people have reported stalled/gained weight on the new WW plan, most likely due to 0 points food list that now has over 200 entries.…
  • A great success op! I'm down to one can of diet soda a day, at lunch time, and I have a goal to eliminate that yet this year (at the beginning of the year I was drinking 4+ cans a day). I'm saving a lot of money by reducing my intake :)
  • I normalized prediabetic glucose numbers by losing the excess weight I had (around 50lbs). That alone was enough to correct the issue.
  • Cronometer is free, it's similar to MFP in that it offers a premium option but net carbs option is part of the free plan. They also have a very detailed breakdown of micros, which is also included in their free plan. For some of us it just makes things a bit easier/saves time to be able to see our net carbs at a glance.

  • I'd love to join in :) Name: zeejane How long in maintenance: 6 years Goal maintenance range: 130lbs-135lbs Current weight: 134.4lbs Current goal: continuing to research and experiment with a lower carb woe (transitioning from a high carb, mostly plant based diet) Recent success: lost the winter weight gain I was…
  • Yep, that's what I use when I'm spot checking my net carbs. The only downside is the free option doesn't allow you to break meals up into sections (breakfast, lunch etc).

  • Hey everyone-I wish MFP had the pause account option like FB has, I needed to take a break from MFP so I had to delete my whole account, sigh. After experimenting with DASH for several months I've decided to go in a different direction. While I've enjoyed this way of eating, I started having some serious bloating issues,…
