Well I reckon I could make do with something from sainsburys or whatever. Probably around 1000cals. Dont want to get on a slippery slope though. I'll see, when I feel a bit more confident that my brain has changed to stop sabotaging me losing weight, I might have one all accounted and planned for.

It was never a surprise to me to know how little extra you have to eat to maintain or become overweight. I just struggled to do anything about it. hopefully that has changed and will continue now. How often - weekly How much weight to lose - the tables say I should lose 140lbs but realistically for me I think about 100lbs.…

This is very good. But my problem is the thing that I crave is way more than 900 cals. I can see it in my minds eye almost every minute of the day and its worse when Im reading this website because of course everyone (mostly) is talking about food and calories. All I can think about - I can see it right now - is a big…

I didnt know what 'onederland' was until Ive read some of these posts. I started at 282 (20st 2lbs) If I get to 199 that is 14st 3lbs. I havent been that since around the early 90s, even that might be pushing it a bit. Im now 19st 1lb, which I think is 267? I get confused all the chopping and changing about with units.

Blimey, no wonder you craved a curry, why so low? I have decided myself that I wont call this sort of thing 'off the wagon' you are still on the wagon, so you log what you had and just carry on, nothing is lose. So when I went on holiday last month I kept diligently logging all the scones, pies, chips, bread etc etc and…

It was the 18th May and we returned 10 days later.

Well it was a medical professional that told him this, obviously not a very good one if that article is anything to go by. Im wondering if it was something to do with medication he was on.
-
Well I'll enjoy it while it lasts but have calculated all my goals and timescales on 1lb a week. I would doubt I even make around 2000 steps a day. I am double the weight I should be so it always comes off quicker at he start when someone is very big

I am logging everything diligently and am the most lazy person you could ever imagine. I put my exercise in when I do it and I have put sedentary as my level. I dont know what a tdee is. I just used what the MFP told me. I suspect that without making any changes I will drop down to 1lb a week over the next month.

My dad was told many years ago not to eat too many bananas. Something to do with potassium but I cant remember why.
-
Definitely not!!! I wouldnt survive. It also includes a 10 day holiday where I ate my way through the week. I was 3500 cals over maintenance for that week but made it up the second week. I am on around 1800 cals a day. Yesterday I took in about 3k. I still maintain that its water is coming off but the fat will be being…

Have you been tested for diabetes, excessive thirst can be a sign. Im the opposite, I hardly ever feel thirsty and struggle to get enough fluids in me.
-
Sorry, its 9lbs in the past 4 weeks.
-
Im trying to look at my weight graph which seems to indicate I lost 10lb in the last 4 weeks, I thought it was less than that, I could have sworn that the first week alone I lost 6lbs, that cant be right

Ive only got to have a couple of days of eating bread and my knees feel crippled.
-
Why do you want to shorten the eating window?
-
I thought it was female, fat (which would include chubby), fertile (not necessarily whether you have children but that you are pre menopause) and 40s (which you are now). I heard it can be aggravated by low fat diets if you have recently gone onto that, or lower calorie. My friend who had to have hers out was told that it…

Oh dear, so its actually a 4k calorie deficit to lose a lb?
-
Is it very unhelpful of me to say just focus on what you have achieved in that time? It will be annoying that your entries have been lost, particularly foods you may have put in or recipies but you can put these back in time when you eat them again. It wont (and hasnt) undone your hard work and weight loss.
-
Ive been averaging 2lb a week but am eating a 3500 calorie deficit per week, so I have lost 15lb since the 28th April. However my assumption is that as I started at 282lbs and only 6 weeks in (I think?) that 6lbs is the actual weight loss in fat but the rest is water?
-
I seem to be averaging around 120ish to 130ish grams of carbs per day, Im not sure what that is, low or moderate or normal carb? I do restrict them as I find they make me feel hungry, even things like porridge, never fills me up, has me starving a few hours after. They tend to make me binge on all foods. But ultimately I…

By the way that food I just wrote out for yesterday was nearly 3000 calories.
-
I bet because you're only a stone away from your goal, you're fairly active with lots of activity and you mention you had a previous back injury (some inflammation sometimes), and that your daily deficit is 162 calories its just very slow. If you really are sticking to 1300 calories then you will lose weight on the scale…

I thought wine and coffee had been shown to have health benefits. (thats the trouble with saying a food is healthy or unhealthy)

Im quite boring and tend to have the same thing most days. It nearly always consists of 4 ryvita topped with something. Sometimes its about 100g of houmous, others 250g of full fat cottage cheese, others a egg mayonnaise sandwich filler pot. I try to have a fair amount of calories and protein if I can as I dont tend to…

They've just made a couple of typos in the line for the 5'5 height, thats what got me confused, hence my question! Seems to generally be on track with the NHS calculations so its about right.
-
I thought that the other day but once Id cooked it I realised it woujld divide into 15 portions (yes Im going to be sick of this dish, its all in th freezer now in separate pots) rather than the 12 I initially said it would but it let me change it (and hence the calories per portion went down)

What I mean is, if my BMI is 32 I would be merely overweight according to that, but if someone who is shorter had a BMI of 32 they would be obese. That cant be right, your BMI indicates the category you are in. Actually scrap that, I hvae just realised they've made an error on the 5'5 line, it must be wrong

How much did you want to lose, you're more or less at your ideal weight. Half a stone maybe? Or do you just want to do some toning up? Sounds very low and then you'll end up binging down the kebab shop or something.
