His registered dietitian degree is available on his website. As I said he is both a dietitian and now he is a personal trainer.

That is amazing! I’m fairly active NOW. I was a potato all winter. As of the last month I run for an hour everyday. On top of my hour of running, I also lift weights a couple times a week, hike every weekend and in general live a much more active life since the summer began. I’m hoping over time I will get my metabolism up…

Thanks! I know the calories are more important for weight loss than macros. Sometimes I focus too much on macros just because I enjoy hitting those as well. It’s nice to be reminded though :)

Hey thanks for your response! Yes I’m definitely talking about one meal and NOT a whole day. I am not having trouble sticking within my calories at all. Once I got on a roll it’s easy. The issue is tracking is exhausting and I want a night off tracking once a week. I also find it VERY hard to fit normal pizza or cake into…
-
That’s unfortunate it didn’t work for you. I have no issue with overeating. I just need the break from tracking. I think one meal per week should be a minimal effect on my loss.

Yes of course I am. Example, instead of chicken and vegetables like usual I could have a couple slices of pizza for dinner. That kind of switch up. And I personally hate logging but I still do it because right now it’s necessary.

Exactly! This is much closer to what I want to do. I would never do a cheat day. A full day is too much. I’d like to have one meal a week of something “bad”. I fit some unhealthy food into my macros but I largely eat clean. Lean meat and veggies for almost every meal, and egg whites for breakfast. I only fit in small…

Hi! Yeah I’ve had zero issue with control. I am so on point with my macros that my trainer said this wouldn’t be bad for someone like me to do once a week. I don’t plan on logging the rest of my life anyway. I am using logging right now to inform myself of portion sizes and calories. Logging EVERY meal is slightly annoying…

Running speed is highly genetic. I ran in high school track. We were told to increase miles and when I upped my miles, my times always went down. I never did intervals or sprints (outside of track practice). I just ran 50-100 miles a week. I wasn’t a sprinter. I typically run 5k as my shortest run.

Just a follow up post...Starting today I’m starting 1600 NET calories long term with no goal date for my weight loss. :) I feel really good about it and will let you guys know how it works for me. <3

Wow you went from 220 to 140 at 5’8”!? Congrats that’s so amazing! Thank you so much for posting how negative 1200 calories could be. I had no idea of these health effects. This is my first time watching what I eat and having some form of plan in my life. I’m going to be extra careful and may visit my doctor to see what…

Just read the whole thing. Thank u <3

Also after reading everyone’s comments I will either manually set my calories to 1500 or lower my rate of loss to 1lb/ week <3

Thank you! Yes I have a fancy food scale I got at target. It’s great :#

Too much. Kind of embarrassed to post how many lb in a public forum but I’ll just say 40+ I think I chose 2lb per week to start and plan on moving it to 1lb per week after the first month. I have maybe 50lb to lose so I want to account for the fast loss in the beginning. I’m hitting 2lb a week right now and never feel…

I just finished reading all the replies and want to thank you all. I’m going to keep eating my exercise calories. If anyone else has any experience they want to share, feel free to post!

Yes chest heart monitor and I run for 60 minutes uphill everyday. 700 is pretty accurate, maybe even a little low for that. :) Forgot to say I am pretty heavy right now too!
