  • It's my first time with this challenge, but I like the shorter duration; it seems mentally easier to keep track of. I gained 8 pounds over the holiday season (ended up about 103.5 lbs), but I'm trying to take daily walks and do a quick workout every day. I've been able to keep my self-control much better over the past…

  • I managed to get 1 lb below my goal weight in September, only to eat way more (and more sodium) than I needed to on the last day and be 1 lb heavier than my September start weight today. I definitely could have made better choices, but I'm encouraged to know that it'll come off in a couple days. Trying not to be too upset…
  • Hello! I just transferred to a new university 5 weeks ago, had an incident where I had to miss a week of class, and worked nonstop for a week to catch up. As it was, I didn't make any time to eat, sleep, or track. Now that things have calmed down a little (in time for midterms!), I am trying to get back on track for the…

  • Thank you, everyone, for the advice. I have definitely been working on staying hydrated, but I'm having trouble eating back at normal amounts. It seems that about the maximum I can consume right now is about 400 calories below what I would normally be eating for slow weight loss, and I've just been losing more weight. Once…

  • That's true; when we're small, we just don't need as much to maintain. It is much harder to create a large deficit when we're small enough that an extremely low calorie diet for some is average for us. I tried that calculator, and it gave me 1,786 calories to maintain, but there's no way I could eat that much.…
  • Hello! I also was given a goal of 1200, though I've found it works better for me to keep it to around 1,000. I'm 4'11" and petite as well  I'm able to eat a little more if I work out for a couple hours, though  It can be challenging to create balanced meals on so little!
  • When I was about 94lbs a couple years ago, I stepped on the scale, and my doctor immediately asked me, "Have you been eating a lot of junk food?" At that time, I was working out for 3 hours a day and eating only a little bit of rice and vegetables. I know I shouldn't take it too personally, but that still really bothers me…
  • @weatherking2019 That sounds so difficult to deal with. :( I hope your appointment goes well and you are feeling better soon! 6/3 46.3kg (102 lbs) I have no clue why I suddenly got heavier. I had started a new workout regimen the day before; perhaps that is why? 8/3 46kg (101.5 lbs) Not much of a loss; it seems more like a…
  • I'm finally done with my organic chemistry term paper! No more writing! For two days...
