It's more a matter of compatibility than age for me. That being said, most of the women I've dated have been 5 years or less younger than me. The largest age gap was 14 years (she was older).

You've got more than I do. ;)

I'm usually up between 4:00 - 4:30am. Get a couple of things out of the way such as make the bed, organize a few things. Then will get a quick workout in. Followed by making breakfast. Shave, shower get dressed and usually out the door before 7:00am.

yep, gotta love those rides where you can get photos from certain places.

For some, or many, this holds true. In my case, I would disagree. Prior to relocating to where I'm at now, I had an exceptionally busy schedule that left little downtime. If something threw my schedule off, I had no free time to react or do at a different time. Most times, I was lucky to get four hours of sleep a night.…

However, regret is an emotion. If one learns from a mistake, and has no emotion about realizing it's a mistake and only views it as a fact, it's not regret. An example is many times I realize I've done something wrong and will think "Well, that was stupid. Why'd I do that?" and make the correction and move on. Lesson…

Did you go see if you had any photos?

I don't believe in predetermined outcomes either. But, there's always multiple possible outcomes to most situations, which then leads to exponentially more the further out you look. In many cases, we have knowledge up front about what decision to make at that moment. This comes from lessons learned or we have time to…

This has never been me. If I'm in a relationship, I've always tried to maintain a balance between time with them and personal interests. There's always sometimes where can't maintain it. But, that should be the exception and not the rule. Up until a few months ago, I had too much going on in my life to give time to a…

Think what you will. In hindsight, could I have made better choices at the time? Absolutely. But, you can't go back and undo things. You can't take back words said, or actions done (or not). So, why dwell on them? Make the best of what happened, including apologizing or making amends if necessary, and move forward. Wishing…

One time at Scout camp, a bunch of us were on an overnight camping trip for our wilderness survival merit badge. Come morning, our counselor came over and told us to put the coals out of the fire and get ready to go. Being we were surrounded by a bog, and it would be at least an hour hike out, we opted to not empty our…

While I didn't think they would do anything (though they did almost hit me with their car), my point was that women can be just as aggressive as men in making remarks, comments, etc. I did not take it as a compliment, and did not appreciate what they were doing. But, I have had it where I had a truck with three women in it…

If someone's determined, they'll find a way. Sucks that people have it in their heads to threaten, or harm another. Hopefully you can find a safe way to exercise.

When I was training for a triathlon a number of years ago, I was out running and this car with a couple of women in it kept circling past me. Probably 4-5 times while I was out running. Cat calls, even a few honks of the horn with whistles. Some women can be just as aggressive as men.

I was pretty oblivious to any kind of advances or comments I heard women say about it as I was married at the time. All I heard from her was bitching about how long it was taking, how expensive it was and why I wasn't pulling my weight doing chores around the home such as washing dishes, vacuuming, etc. So, might be a bit…

I'm sure our parents said the exact same thing as we were discovering music. Speaking of music: https://www.fox.com/the-iheart-living-room-concert-for-america/

I can't tell you how many times I see guys standing at the urinal looking at things on their phone. If you can't live without your phone for those couple of minutes, there's a problem. My favourite is the guys talking on the phone in the stall or at the urinal, I try to time flushing with when they're talking so people…

As a former auto mechanic, sometimes changing a tire on the side of the road isn't possible. Aluminum rims, if not rotated regularly can bond to rotors or wheel hubs making it impossible to get it off. Or, you're in a high traffic area, so it can be unsafe. Nothing wrong with calling AAA or someone else to do it. Also, I…

From the sounds of it, he might be willing to pay to work.

With the exception of a Subaru, GM vehicles were all I owned. Never really had bad problems per se, just typical maintenance stuff. But, could tell quality was dropping significantly. In '08 when I needed to replace a car because of a blown engine, I opted for Ford. I did buy a Chrysler out of necessity and a "vehicle of…

They've been that way for years. Long before the '08 bailout. But, especially since then. Why I switched brands years ago. This coming from a guy who grew up in a GM family.

If by "I don't need a man" you mean "I don't need a man. But, I'd like one in my life" then yes. I was married to one who "needed" to be taken care of. No thanks.

Each state is different, and I'm lucky to live in one which doesn't have state income taxes. Though, their sales tax is higher than other states. As is their vehicle tabs and fuel tax. But, because I don't buy a lot, I actually pay significantly less than I was where I used to live. I'd rather see us go to either a flat…

Life never goes as originally planned. One needs to have focus and a goal, while still being flexible enough to adapt to changes in life. Be thankful for where you are and grateful for all you've experienced in life (good and bad), and look for ways to improve your life if you feel it's still lacking. Never stop learning,…

Two generations of role models showing love and dedication to family. My dad is an incredible role model for me. Sometimes I was too thick headed to realize it until too late. But, it's all part of being human.

On the flip side, and to counter @tinak33 's post, same with women and men. There's been many times I've been told I'm "too nice". This isn't a complaint. But, an observation about how some women who keep dating guys that treat them like *kitten* even though said women do nothing but *kitten* and complain about how their…

On that subject, my parents were ones that also tried to find ways to save as much money as they could by buying the parts of animals that people didn't like all that well. Cow's tongue, liver, heart, chicken hearts, pickled pigs feet, sardines, rocky mountain oysters. Nasty stuff... My dad's mom was a WW2 widower who…

This may sound odd. But, I don't really have any regrets. Sure, I've made some bad decisions or actions. But, none that I really regret. To me, every decision or action I've done has made me who I am. Good, bad and quite ugly. Learn from them and move on. Even the shittiest of situations we can learn from and we may be…
