@bmeadows380 I'm close to wrapping up the program for a third time (10 years ago, then this past fall, now again after being lazy over the winter). If you have any questions about it I'd be glad to try and answer them.

I've been keeping up with my running, but not posting here as it is disappointingly dead :\ But anyway, I completed week 8 day 2 yesterday, running 28 minutes at a pace of 12:00/mi. My pace is a good minute/mile faster than the last time I went through the program and I've been very happy with that.

Congrats on the job @kecward78 !

I do this all the time without thinking, too. I often get a side eye from my wife and she'll ask "Why did you park here?!" Why wouldn't I park there? I don't need to be close. :)

My gym is closed now so I'm off strength training for now. Been pushing myself to keep up my walking/running though. In the past 16 days I've only missed the 10,000 step mark once. I was exhausted/sore from raking for 4-5 hours the day before.

I finally got over my phobia of being shirtless in public and had a really nice evening swimming with my wife and daughter tonight. I saw my reflection in a mirror while at the pool and decided maybe I wasn't as hideous as I had felt I was, so that was a nice bonus. Going to start joining them for their weekly swim.…

For today:* Morning Run * Afternoon Walk * 10,000+ steps * Stay within budget * Swimming in public for the first time in years

Nice, ND. What are you doing for strength training so far? I spent the winter doing sessions with a personal trainer once per week, just getting comfortable in the gym and learning different exercises/lifts. As of a couple weeks ago I settled on doing the Starting Strength program and hope to phase out my PT before too…

Sounds really frustrating Connie. I wish I was qualified to help more with this -- have you tried talking to a therapist about it? (You mention medication for meds for anxiety/stress/depression, so you likely have a therapist, but have you broached this particular issue with them?)

Good for you. This is much better than I imagined opening up this thread... I was half fearing that you had got into an accident and lost several appendages or something! Best of luck with the weight loss and moving forward in general.

Yikes. That's a lot of weight in a short time. Make sure you're getting enough food. Weight loss isn't a sprint, there's no rush. For comparison: I lost 17 lbs in my first month and that was a lot for that timeframe. I was starting out at 386 lbs though, not 177.

Knocked out a goal today! Just got home from a nice long bike ride. 17 miles.
