  • Hi all, it's been a while. Going to reintroduce myself since it's been years. I've been overweight most of my adult life. I've had 3 major successes in weight loss, and 2 major failures where I fell off the wagon. 2009: Hit all-time high weight of 335lbs and committed to losing weight. 2010: Low weight of 235lbs,…

  • I’m tired of focusing on the daily fluctuations as they really don’t mean much. From here on, I’ll be reporting all weights as 7 day rolling averages. • She's a lab / german shepherd mix. About 4 months old now. :)
  • Ha, no worries. Until yesterday I was MIA since late March anyway.
  • ha, I'd never heard of that comic before. Thanks for sharing.
  • CICO is definitely the key to fat loss, but weight itself can be many things. When you eat carb heavy meals, you tend to retain water. When you eat salty meals, you tend to retain water. If you exercise a lot, you tend to retain water and even gain mass through muscle growth (slowly over time). I'm sure there's many more…
  • Goals for today: Keep my logging going - 3 days of solid logging under my belt now Get some exercise - 20 minute run in this morning, maybe a bike ride later?
  • Hi folks. Been struggling for a while during this self-isolation business and disappeared from here / MFP for a while. Haven’t been making very good choices food wise, haven’t been logging, haven’t been happy. I’m trying to turn that around and I’ve been on track for 3 days now after about 2 months completely off the…
  • Nope, had this one since March I think? But thank you! Here's Sophie (our new puppy) and I after our run this morning:
  • Sophie's adoption day - 2 months old Today - 4 months old Not exactly sometTHING but someone. We got a puppy at the end of March. We've been talking about getting a more affectionate pet for our daughter for a while and with both my wife and I working from home, we figured this was the ideal time. Having Sophie around,…

  • I've been beating myself up lately about my eating habits and weight gain over the past 3 months (since the start of self-isolation)... but looking at the data today it doesn't seem as bad as I've made it out to be. I have a feeling that this is because although I've let my eating slide some during this time, my activity…
  • Not familiar with it, sorry. Hopefully you'll find someone who can give you the info you seek!
  • I lost 110 lbs in 2009-2010 going from 330 lbs to 220 lbs. Gained that back and more after I "fell off the wagon." Started up again at the beginning of 2019 and I've gone from 387 lbs to 271 lbs so far since then.
  • /hits disagree. haha, but thanks.
  • Hovering around 270ish at the moment. 😁
  • Haven't really made any progress in the last four months but I've been holding onto what I've done so far.
  • I actually logged all my food yesterday. Small victory, maybe, but fairly big for me lately.

  • Forgot to post here again this month. I've been off a little for the past 2-3 weeks eating more around maintenance. I'm up a few pounds from my recent low of 266 lbs (or -120 lbs), but am tightening up my budget again since yesterday to get back at it. 2020 1/1: 285.0 (-101.6) 2/1: 281.3 (-105.3) 3/1: 276.1 (-110.5) 4/1:…
  • Kind of a weird one to describe. My computer area is set up at a recliner, and I use a lapdesk for my keyboard/mouse. For as long as I've used this setup (since we moved here Nov 2017), I've had to use a u-shaped "Boppy" pillow under my lapdesk because I didn't have enough of a lap for the desk. As of the last week or so,…

  • @bmeadows380 I use active.com's Couch to 5k Android app. You can play your own music and it gives you audio prompts to run / walk / etc during your session. It also uses GPS to track your path and lets you compare stats between your workouts. I'm not really a shoe expert. I bought a pair of Nike running shoes when I first…
  • @musicsax Sorry for the delay in my reply, I just saw your message now. I have a Samsung smartwatch that tracks my steps. Right now I'm doing a work-sponsored step challenge through MoveSpring. I also do a weekly challenge with some friends online (weight loss Discord chat server) on MoveSpring's free sister app Stridekick.
