HW: 196
GW: 182 for now
CW: 192
goals for this round:
C25K 3x per week
1200-1400 cals on non running days
1400-1600 cals on running days
I just wanna see something below 190 this round!
05/27 191.8 approximate total cals 1163
I was waiting for this round to start and then missed the beginning. but here I am. I feel pretty committed at the moment so lets hope we can keep it up.
05/28 191.8 ran 3 miles, approximate total cals 1600
05/29 191.2 approximate total cals 1441
05/30 191.4 ran 3 miles, approximate total cals 1698 It was raining but we waited 30 minutes and it cleared up. So humid, but we got it done. I was feeling really snacky last night but 100 cals over isn't that bad I guess.
05/31 191.6 approximate total cals 1380 trying to catch up on water today. I have had a bad headache every afternoon this week and it's really getting old and I want to eat chocolate and that's it.
06/01 191.8 approximate total cals 1558 which was a bit higher than I wanted, ended up having a 100 cal popsicle and 1.5 glass of wine last night before bed, just needed to unwind a bit. Still looking for a drop before the end of this round but approaching TOM is not helping in the least Ran 3 miles this morning and time was a bit quicker. In fact that is one of my big goals at the moment- I feel if I drop a few lbs my running will be easier!
06/02 192.8 approximate total cals 1873 so more like maintenance cals almost. well I didn't overeat but we had fried chicken for dinner due to company and I had potato salad (first time in forever) it was good but the carbs are sticking with me obviously. Lots of water today.
06/03 192.0 approximate total cals 1288 so on target there! hoping for a whoosh before the end of this round but body is not cooperating so far. NSV for today, my running partner told me today she could see some noticeable changes in my body so that was nice!
06/04 192.6 approximate total cals 1418 just keep swimming, the whoosh will come some day

NO, let’s clarify-binge eating was more like it. It started with a fast severe glucose drop (probably from the stress) and ended in an all night frenzy. I wish I was a better sleeper, the binge would have been shorter. Last night I slept 3 hours & 1 minute. That is about 60-75 minutes shy of my normal 4 hours of sleep. Today I am choosing me. I have a stressful and work-filled day ahead but I am going to come first (for once).

They took him back to the gate and put him off. Meanwhile, with his mask under his chin, he walked the length of the plane, exposing everyone to who knows what! Our friend has put herself in 2 week quarantine due to this. Our clubhouse has opened and water aerobics starts tomorrow. I have mixed feelings because I know so many in the neighborhood don’t respect social distancing and personal space. Am I wrong to consider skipping that class because in 2 weeks our daughter is visiting for the first time in 10 years?
I'd definitely skip! knowing "so many in the neighborhood don’t respect social distancing and personal space .... "5 -

Day/Weight/Comment
05/27 - 62.2kg, the beginning of a new round, definitely going to see it through :-)
05/28 - 61.9kg, an unexpected drop! Is it sustainable, would be amazing if it was...
05/29 - 62kg, which is fine considering, happy to be here for a bit, but no gaining please.
05/30 - camping
05/31 - camping
06/01 - 62.2kg, whaaaugh! Food choices limited while camping and too much rain to do any walking :-/
06/02 - 62kg, better, not just hoping for better tomorrow but doing the hard work
06/03 - 61.7kg, that's great, but there's been lots of bouncing around lately so not sure if this is sustainable
06/04 - 61.3kg, hmm, weighed twice so that's it for today, sure to bounce back for final day of this round :-)
06/05 - 61.5kg, expected uptick, but happy way to end this round.7 -
I'm in! Thank you, @GrandmaJackie!
70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had back surgery. Then I had hip surgery March 10th. Recovery is slow. Sure do want to be back walking!
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

@deepwoodslady I am so sorry for your loss.
When you say you had a severe glucose drop, I believe I've read before that you're diabetic and have been trying to manage it?? I'm not diabetic but I can relate to your comment of an "all night frenzy" because I am hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) and when mine drops, it IS a frenzy and you just can't seem to get enough food in fast enough to get rid of the shakes, confusion, light headed, etc. I'm glad you are choosing YOU today. I've read your posts and you work so hard. I think you run your own business by yourself if I'm remembering correctly. Take care of yourself.

I missed this round and will miss the next one as well due to lots of traveling these 3 weeks. I so miss the accountability and posting but trying to stay on track. I pop in when home to see how everyone is doing and had to post a comment to @merph518 - Your puppy, Sophie, is sooooo adorable. Just beautiful. Is it a Lab? How old is she? I lost my sweet "puppy" after 14 years recently. I miss him so much!

Day/Weight/Comment
05/27 - 153.6: Fairly happy camper. Ate great and hydrated alright. Stupid long work day, which was a contributor to the low activity. Fitbit's reporting 5,918 steps (2.59 miles).
05/28 - 152.6: Eggs for breakfast, and I figure the pack of (prepacked) deli olives I grabbed out of the fridge weren't the best quick lunch option, but it could've been a whole lot worse. Healthy dinner. Virtually strapped to my desk most of my waking hours, and in back to back meetings during normal work day. Making time to get outside are so beneficial, seemingly even more for my mind than body. Happy enough, and so very much looking forward to the weekend. Fitbit says 11,683 steps (5.1 miles).
05/29: 152.4 - What used to be called skipping meals can be considered IF, right? Last minute invite to bday dinner with my grownup kids. Binged on steak, mac&cheese, cake, and mochi. No regrets. Fitbit says 4,255 steps (1.86 miles).
05/30: 151.2 - Seriously surprised 1.2 lbs down after yesterday's binging and lack of activity. Decided Thai takeout might calm my troubled mind. My fav eggplant dish always causes tummy problems when I get the 4/5 stars. Today was no different. I won't get into details, but if you haven't read Amazon reviews about sugar free gummy bears, you will understand. Fitbit doesn't say much, since I lost my charger, but Endomondo says my walk was 4.11 miles.
05/31: 150.2 - Emotionality rough first part of the day, including another memorial service. Talked it through, which really helped... but so did a pint of Ben & Jerry's Phish Food. No regrets.. Fitbit says 15,206 steps (6.66 miles).
06/01: 152.6 - The trouble with using ice cream to fix my feelings isn't that the scale goes up a little the next day. The real danger is that it sets off the phenomenon of craving that makes it so difficult to stop again. Seem to be back on track, but hard to say after one day.
06/02: 151.6 - Fell asleep before I had a chance to add my comment yesterday. Sleep is good! Ate well. Relaxing evening. Could've drank more water. Fitbit says 7,978 steps (4.48 miles.)
06/03: 152.2 - Huh. That's weird, but whatever. Ate well, but not enough food or water. Butt hurts from sitting at my desk today and hardly moving. Fitbit scoffs at 2,876 steps (1.26 miles).
06/04: 150.4 - Ah yes. Another long day of sitting not moving. After stupid healthy late lunch (leftover vegan sweet & spicy mango tofu eggplant pulled out of the freezer) roommate asked, "Thinking about getting pizza. Will you eat some too?" Happy to be of service! Fitbit hardly says 2,535 (1.11 miles).

Day/Weight/Comment
05/27 135 – 12.74 miles walked yesterday. Another good day, need to stay in this mind set. Started pre-logging in the morning again. 933 calories in credit and all macros well in green.
05/28 133.6 – wow ! greater loss than I expected, but I'll take it !! 11.27 miles walked yesterday, 537 calories in credit, all macros in green.
05/29 133.2 – wow, wasn't expecting that ! Another drop, just shows how if I consistently eat healthily what a difference it makes!! Must retain that info when I get tempted to binge! 8.77 miles walked yesterday, 540 calories in credit, all macros well in credit.
05/30 134 – 11.37 miles walked yesterday. Hopefully normal fluctuation, but knew the run would stop at some stage! 317 calories in credit and all macros in green.
05/31 134.4 - 8.81 miles walked yesterday. 155 calories in credit, but carbs 24g over, other macros in green, but sodium although within limits higher than normal because of mussels at lunch time. Hopefully this will rebalance today.
06/01 135.6 ?? I'm disappointed with this, I walked 9.95 miles yesterday & was 441 calories in credit, all other macros in green. Oh well, lets hope it's still just normal fluctuation. I'm not giving up, today is Monday and I'll get on with it!! Four days to get back down. Making the apple bread today.
06/02 135.2 – 10.27 miles walked yesterday. 134 calories in credit, fat 17g over, other macros in green. I'm so excited !!! Seeing my family for the first time since lock down, (in the garden with social distancing rules, not sure how that will pan out with the little ones, but will do our best! ), so first time for 3 months for son and granddaughter and 2½ months for daughter and grandsons. It's better than Christmas morning!!
06/03 135.2 – no walking with 2 hour drive up north & then back, wonderful quality time in son's garden with family, particularly with little grandchildren after they had got over initial shyness; well they'd not seen any other person than parents for 3 months !! Best day ever, Christmas birthday & every other celebration you can think of rolled into one !!!
06/04 135.2 – 11.48 miles walked yesterday. Just over on calories, carbs & fat over yesterday; 39,18 & 11 respectively. Oh well, I'll say it again – today is a new day and a new chance!
06/05 134.8 – 10.55 miles walked yesterday. Calories 740 in credit, all macros well in credit. 1.2 pounds loss fom end of last round, need to keep it off !
KEEP SAFE EVERYONE . Keep calm – we're all in this together!

Day/Weight/Comment
05/26 - 179 - Currently IF 16:8, plus daily logging within calorie goal. Down 7# so from my heaviest weight EVER
05/27 - 180.2 WHAT!? Expected a little love from the scale this a.m. after a 3-mile walk over lunch and a mile later
with the pup. Will repeat today and hope for the "whoosh" tomorrow.
05/28 - 179.7 Same exercise routine as 5/26, but ate more. Think my metabolism sent me a message yesterday about not eating enough to balance the extra expenditure. Lessened my caloric deficit to keep that energy level higher. No whoosh, but lesson learned. .5 down works for me!
05/29 - 178.7 Got hungry after my IF eating window had already closed. That was a first for me and it didn't last too terribly long. Is it weird that I appreciate a good hunger pang every now and then so I remember the difference between hunger and mindless eating?
05/30 - 178.7 Deep stuffed pizza. Saved calories and 5 mile walk before dinner. Earned enough for an extra piece, but only ate half because I was full.
05/31-178.7 It's funny. The majority of folks believe CICO is the standard for weight loss. And it makes sense. However, now that I'm logging daily, I am becoming a believer that the food choices for those calories still impact the speed of that loss. Normally, I don't eat much bread, certainly not two days in a row. But man, that pretzel bread cheeseburger was even more awesome than the deep dish pizza the day before! Walked 14000 steps and other activities that earned over 800 more calories yesterday, of which I ate NONE of. Weight stays the same. Today I go back to the good carbs. C'mon scales...@littlecinnamon and I need a whoosh!
06/01-177.7 - Lucky 7's for me today. Decided not to spin again!
06/02-177.3 - the feeling when a family member notices you are making progress w/o seeing the numbers
06/03-176.4 - Sticking to my self-discovery theories earlier in this 10 days, and MFP goals. Is it that, or water weight loss from my ill-timed 3+ mile lunch walk in 90+ temps? Only tomorrow's scale knows for sure.
06/04-176.6 My fault--no significant exercise yesterday. Hope to finish strong tomorrow!
06/05 - 178.6 I said, "finish strong", not end high! Too hot to walk over lunch and ate pasta. Suspect it is not real weight as I see the thinner me in the mirror. Great round everyone!10 -

5/31 DNW IF 16 hours, 15,000 steps lots of evening snacking
6/1 159.8 lbs IF 16 hours, 9000 steps, did not calculate calories. Helped husband with a tree job by running Backhoe all day so no steps, for some reason extremely hungry in the evening and had a few beers, which always stick to me.
6/2 157.2 lbs IF 16 hours, 17,000 steps 1000 calories
6/3 158.0 lbs IF 16hours, 1200 calories, 18,500 steps lots of carbs in what I ate yesterday for the gain.
6/4 157.6 lbs IF 16 hours, 1200 calories, 11,500 steps, lots of mowing, eating dirt from the wind on the riding mower so not so many steps. I hope the dirt doesn't count as calories. LOL
6/5 159.6 lbs IF 16 hours, 9000 steps, did not count calories, friends, the ladies I take to town with spent the day in town grocery shopping and going to medical appointments, first time I have eaten in a restaurant in a very long time. Month/Day: Weight / Comment
05/27: 217.6 / I have to say this challenge really works for me. I have very little willpower by myself. Any number I record for these ten days would otherwise be higher if not for this group. My expectations are pretty high for this ten day period, just as a correction for the Covid-19 stress eating I have been doing. 😊
05/28: 216.6
05/29: 214.8
05/30: 215.4 / fun evening of drinks, snacks and cards with friends last night. Over my calorie goals for the day. Going fishing with son and grandson later this morning.
05/31: 215.8
06/01: 216.0
06/02: 215.4 / a little sore at myself for backsliding mid-March to end of May. So easy to see the scale reading go up. So hard to see it go down.
06/03: 214.8
06/04: 215.8 Yoyo!
06/05: 214 / !oyoY Considering the fact that I was at 219.4 on 5/26, I am pretty happy!

5/27 119.0 We had a wonderful meal cooked on the grill. Hamburgers (no buns) grilled spaghetti squash, sliced tomato, and Keto Blackberry Cobbler from Keto Connect. Fairly high carb day but all “healthy carbs.” It’s was all good.
5/28 119.0 spaghetti squash and mozzarella meatballs for dinner last night. Pulled pork. Social distance sewing today. High of 109 anticipated.
5/29 117.5 Healthy carbs and higher fiber the other day = +1.5 pounds. THAT is why I count TOTAL not net carbs. Carbs are carbs! My body hates them.
5/30 118.0 Our youngest grandson graduates (officially a week later than originally scheduled) this morning. What a messed up year end. There will be 2 sets of grandparents and 2 sisters with Mom and Dad in the Suburban. One car per family allowed to watch. Closer contact than we have had since early March!
5/31 119.5 Olive Garden after graduation. My first restaurant since early March. I got “shrimp scampi” which had 6 small shrimp in a gloppy sauce on pasta. I have never seen scampi in anything but garlic butter so did not consider this to be scampi. I picked out the shrimp and ate them and most of a big bowl of salad. No bread, no pasta. Nothing there is low carb so I expected the gain. It will go away. But so disappointed in not having any good choices. Another thumbs down for OG. We should have skipped it and gone home but wanted to be with daughter and family.
6/1 118.0 9:31 of sleep!!! Holy moly!!
6/2 117.5 7:59 of sleep!! This is great! And I have lost the carb weight from Saturday.
6/3 118.0 Yesterday was a hot busy day! I didn’t drink enough water. I realized at about 10PM. So, it is what it is and I’ve had a quart plus coffee already this morning.
6/4. 118.0 Very salty dinner last night but got plenty of water. The Ridgecrest earthquake shook our house on the east side of Las Vegas just after 6:30PT. At first I thought I might be having a stroke or something. DH in the other room didn’t feel it. LOL Terrible sleep last night.

Day/Weight/Comment
05/27 - 146 - I was hoping I'd be down a little more, but it appears that it wasn't all water weight I gained over my 4 day weekend.
05/28 - 147 - My rings were very tight this morning so I'm going to be drinking plenty of water today.
05/29 - 145 - I think the scales were just being kind this morning. I'll take it, but I won't be surprised if I'm up a little bit tomorrow.
05/30 - 145 - I've eaten around maintenance the past couple days and mowed the lawn today, so I hope I can maintain this for tomorrow.
05/31 - 145.5
06/01 - 147 - Oh well, plenty of water today and hope it goes back down tomorrow.
06/02 - 147 - I'll try the water again today.
06/03 - 146.5
06/04 - 146
06/05 - 146 - I'm glad I'm down for the round. I need to keep working to get back to maintenance, so I'll see you next round.
