I agree they do if they don't know what you are doing. I did have someone last month that I hadn't seen for awhile, ask if I was healthy.

Love air frying. Right now I mainly do skinless chicken breasts or thighs and salmon. Before I started my weight loss journey I did french fries and mozzarella sticks from from frozen. Also great for baked potatoes, if you aren't in a hurry for one.

Drink water when the urge hits, that may make the wanting candy go away. Try going for a walk or doing some physical activity. This could do one of 2 things, or both...make you forget you want to eat something, or allow you the extra calories to have that piece of candy.

I am surprised you are even a candidate for the surgery if you only have 80-90 to lose. I have lost that much without any surgery. So, I agree with trusting your gut.

You might try flavoring it yourself - those bottled ones I'm sure are loaded with additives you don't need. I will occasionally make a pitcher of flavored water using just strawberries, cucumber, lemon, whatever. What is low calorie to you? My breakfast this morning was 267 calories: 1/2 cup egg whites, 4 slices of turkey bacon and a Lite whole grain english muffin.

It is not mean if you say no. My co-workers know I am losing weight so it's no biggie for me to decline something I can't eat. I have lots of support there. I'm not married, but if I were I would hope he would be supportive as well.

I think keeping your hands, and even mind, busy would be good. Someone mentioned knitting/crocheting. J=How about those adult coloring books? Or even reading a book. Maybe writing in a journal? Good luck!

I will occasionally have a lite, whole wheat or whole grain english muffin, which is 100 calories. Also, whole wheat fajita size tortillas.
