  • Yes, I feel like it’s not too hard to fit it in, even if I have to do it with the kids running around my feet!
  • Finally got round to trying level 3. It’s hard on the thighs! I kept up pretty well except on the jumping moves. Considering how much I run, my legs feel very weak when I try to jump!
  • I recommend exercises by Wendy Powell or Erin O’Brien to strengthen your abs and bring them back together if they’ve separated. It didn’t necessarily help with my weight loss, but definitely made me look slimmer because my belly doesn’t bulge out any more.
  • When I worked night shifts I used to eat dinner with my family before I started work, so “breakfast” was a large meal. I took lunch to work, exactly the same type of meal I would eat on a day shift. When I got home I wanted something quick and easy so I could get to bed, so I ate breakfast type foods like cereal, toast or…
  • Hi, how far postpartum are you? If you’re within the first 6 months then be kind to yourself! The hormones and lack of sleep can make you feel terrible. It took me a long time to lose the pregnancy weight, but it wasn’t a huge effort like it would have been soon after giving birth. I love ice cream and chocolate, and I…
  • Haha, yes! The chair raises are tough! I’ve been on level 2 for a while and it still makes my shoulders ache.
  • I’ve got it on dvd, don’t know if you’ll find it on YouTube. It’s not a recent release so you can probably get it cheap. I bought mine from Aldi for £1.99!
  • I should be moving on to level 3 tomorrow, but it’s my son’s first day back at school and I know I’ll have a stressful morning trying to fit everything in. Going to stick with level 2 until the weekend.
  • Still on level 2, but I’ve bought some new weights, so I used heavier ones today. 2kg instead of 1kg. Not too hard except for the last circuit with the v-raises. I’ll feel that in my shoulders tomorrow!
  • I’m full of aches and pains today, so I did 30 minutes of yoga instead of the shred. My hips feel a lot better after a good stretch.
  • Congratulations for breastfeeding your twins! I have twins too, they’re 3 years old and I’ve finally lost the pregnancy weight. Sorry that doesn’t sound too positive, but looking after twins is really hard work and I didn’t even think about my diet until a few months ago. I’ve just finished breastfeeding, though for the…
  • I went for a run last night and did a level 2 shred this morning. I’m feeling it now! Level 2 is starting to feel a little bit easier, but I still didn’t keep up with the squat thrusts, for some reason I find those the hardest part!
  • Hi Samantha, welcome to the group 😊 That’s a great weight loss already, well done!
  • Well done for fitting it in! Level 2 is a good workout, I’ll probably keep coming back to it when I’ve finished the 30 days. I haven’t looked at level 3 yet, I don’t feel fit enough!
  • To do the whole thing in 30 days you would need to do 10 days at each level. I’m probably going to take longer than that at level 2 because I’m finding it quite hard and I really need a rest day. I’m also running on some days instead of doing the shred, so I might need a few extra workouts before level 2 feels easier.…
  • Wow, that’s a great loss in 2 weeks! Level 2 is hard! I kept up with nearly all of it this morning, just missed a couple of squat thrusts. Hopefully it’ll get easier in a few days, like level 1 did.
  • I can’t stand the heat, I wouldn’t run at that temperature. Last summer I missed a few runs because it was really hot, but this summer has been better. I try to get out first thing in the morning, and run through the woods if it’s sunny. I would probably make more effort to adapt to the heat if I lived in a hot country,…
  • What time of day do you run, and do you eat before you go? My ideal time to run is about 2 hours after breakfast, and there’s a limited number of foods I can eat which won’t affect my stomach. If I run later in the day I have to make sure all my meals are light and that I leave a long gap between eating and running. I…
  • I’m vegan and my diary is open. I’m happy to chat and exchange recipes via pm if you like. Swedish Glacé ice cream is vegan and inexpensive. The chocolate flavour isn’t great, but the vanilla is delicious and creamy. Ben and Jerry’s vegan ice cream is very good but very expensive. Vegan magnums are great. I’m a big fan of…
  • Are you male or female? My husband and I are the same height (5’8) but there’s a massive difference in the number of calories mfp gives us. He is way above 1200 calories, even when he sets the loss to 2lb per week. I have been losing weight steadily at around 1600 calories, and I eat 100% of my workout calories. I’ve done…
  • Your phone might be able to do it. I have an iPhone, and the app connects to the step counter on that. Otherwise you could use something like a Fitbit or a Garmin watch.
  • Washing at a high temperature kills the bacteria and gets rid of the smell. 60 degrees C (140F) is high enough. I know that’s higher than recommended for some fabrics, but it hasn’t damaged any of my clothes.
  • I’ve added you 😊 I lost a stone before starting the 30 day shred. Haven’t been as strict with my calories this week so I haven’t lost any more, but I’ll cut back a bit tomorrow. I would say today, but we’re out celebrating our anniversary tonight!
  • Started level 2 today. The cardio feels harder than level one, I was definitely more out of breath.
  • The new scales say I haven’t lost anything! A bit disappointing but at least I haven’t gained. On the plus side, I saw a friend yesterday who commented that I was looking slim 😊
  • Last day of level 1 tomorrow. It’s considerably easier than day 1, which has to be a good sign! My new scales have arrived so I’ll be able to update my weight in the morning. Angie, how are you doing? I find it easiest to exercise first thing in the morning. I’ve got the motivation and energy then, but if I leave it until…
  • I made my workout a bit harder today by using heavier weights. I only have a couple of tiny ones, but I’ll be buying a full set soon. Think my shoulders will ache again tomorrow!
  • Well done! Have a great holiday, and good luck with finding a way to keep exercising!
  • That’s a great loss for the first week! I went running again today. I have to run whenever I get chance, I won’t be able to go again until next weekend. 5 days of shred workouts coming up!
  • I’ve just started following a YouTube channel called Vegan Physique. There are loads of meal prep videos on there, most of which are based on whole foods with no soy. As a bonus they’re all quite cheap with no fancy ingredients. The channel is focused on bodybuilding, so calories are sometimes a bit high, but you can…
