So, basically a copy cat of Love Grown Os? I guess if it's cheaper or tastes better. Just checked and it has monk fruit extract. I have not had the guts to try it after my stevia issues. Monk fruit was also originally tested as an antibiotic, just like stevia. Stevia decimates my microbiome.

No hormone cycles here, but I definitely have days I can eat all day long and days that I'm not hungry much at all. I'm in maintenance now and my experience when losing is that the occasional day eating at maintenance has little effect in the long run. Try to find healthy snacks to keep around for those days. Some of my…

This is my favorite for mixing in a smoothie.

Altra shoes changed my life!

Every morning. Here's a screenshot of me in maintenance. Each dot is a weigh-in. I have fewer daily fluctuations than most people.

Basic internet security: Use unique, long, complicated, impossible to guess passwords on any account that involves money, email, or social connections. Use a password manager to keep track of the passwords. Ideally, use incorrect, unique answers to security questions, also kept on the password manager. (Example, your…

Maybe try to do activity rather than exercise for now. Play with baby/kids. Take them on walks (if that's allowed where you are). Do some major cleaning.

I had a PT use this description of good posture: tuck your shoulders into your back pockets. I've found that to be very helpful. I will echo above about good shoes/ insoles. And I will add that a daily routine of core exercises can do wonders for your back. You should be able to find a good list online if you search. Focus…

It's wonderful that diet and exercise have helped you. Good luck in the future. It's also good to remember that, even in well controlled studies (and many of the studies are not), not everyone has success with these methods.

Another helpful tip is to take a quick photo of the menu and the plate of food to help you estimate later. That's what I regularly did when eating in restaurants was still a thing.

Yes, I believe she will first notice improvement in her breathing and walking ability and those will be very motivating. Thanks for the insight into measurements.

@Beautyofdreams Thank you for sharing your experience. She has a food scale. She is also working on reducing "food prepared away from home" which is likely the biggest contributor to her weight. She can't do much exercise at this point but is doing some and hopefully will increase over time as she loses weight.

Is it specifically carbonation that you crave, or just flavor and sweetness? Just wondering, because there are a lot of zero calorie powder options that make water more flavorful but cost a lot less than soda. For example, my spouse drinks Crystal light, which makes a whole bunch of glasses per canister (maybe about 40…

Core exercises are excellent for protecting your back and improving posture. You absolutely will not get "big" muscles from doing so. As said above, everyone varies on where weight comes off first. I hope you are fortunate and the belly weight is first for you.

String cheese or other lower fat cheese sticks. Flavored rice cakes like chocolate, everything but the bagel (possibly a Target exclusive), apple cinnamon, etc. Mini bars mentioned above are good, note that some are sold as "kid" bars in other brands. I've gotten kind of fond of the ones from Core (refrigerated in the…

A few quick ideas: Sweet potato toast. Hash made with regular or sweet potatoes and greens. Fresh tomato. Wrap made with scrambled eggs, sauteed veggies (any combo of onion, bell peppers and mushrooms). Add black olives or avocado if desired. Sauteed mushrooms. Leftover mashed veggies made into cakes and pan fried.…

I like them roasted than mixed with tortellini, bacon, and a white sauce.

I know it feels overwhelming, but turning around a 30 pound gain is doable. In 2003, I was left with chronic pain and difficulty walking after a car accident. I'm a short person and managed to gain almost 80 pounds, mostly because food felt like the only positive thing in my life. My first limping walk around the block…

Can you eat yogurt? I'm lactose intolerant but yogurt is okay since the cultures break down the lactose (or, at least, enough of it). But I know some people can't even handle that. I make morning smoothies with both Fage Greek nonfat yogurt and Garden of Life unflavored and unsweetened protein powder. I use a half scoop of…

Any fruit. Veggies with hummus or dressing. (Pears are also really good with hummus). String cheese or other lower fat cheese sticks. For a more decadent snack, Clio yogurt bars are amazing. For lower calories, look for "kid" protein bars, which are usually under 120 calories.

I saw a couple of reviews that said if you like roasted cauliflower that you will probably like this. As a cauliflower fan, I will definitely try it.

Bump for the new year. Would love some new folks!

I thought these were pretty good. But my husband called them "ghosts of corn chips" (he still ate them). I have not eaten a deep fried chip product since developing GERD in 2018, so my taste buds are used to baked chips of all types.

In case you are wondering why, companies sometimes update labels as recipes, serving sizes, or regulations change. Not that long ago, new regulations went into effect in the US for nutrition labels which included listing potassium and "added sugars" (along with other changes). Therefore, nearly all labels were updated in…

I've also subbed avocado for mayo; I think it's pretty yummy. Green Eggs (no Ham)!

Bump for 2021! Group is going strong - come join us!

I got the dark chocolate nuts and sea salt one nearly free with sale, coupon, and rebates. It's okay, but I don't think it's worth the regular price (which I believe was a whopping $7.99).

The ones I do that have been suggested: Jicama Nopales Bell peppers and onions The one that hasn't been: Roasted whole okra Also, if you would consider adding fruit, try a fruit salad (especially melons) with jicama included - topped with lime juice and chili powder. Our local Mexican restaurant used to serve this.

I think you confused me with the OP. I was offering suggestions, not asking for any.

From an anatomy standpoint, your liver makes bile based on what you ate in recent days. Bile is stored in your gallbladder and released to help digest fat. So it takes time for the system to respond to an increase in fat intake. In other words, ramp back up slowly.
