What if I did a mini bulk and mini cut every 2 months? What about every 3 months? Do I need to do a longer bulk cut? What is the minimum about of time and weight gain I need to get the bulk benefits? I’m 45 and have been lifting 3 years. 6’3 200 at 15% body fat currently.

Yes only 6lbs, but if you bulk, you need to cut. So the 2lbs per month will average to 1lb per month after the cut. He may have been talking about beginner lifters, what do you think a per month muscle gain would be for an intermediate lifter during a bulk vs. maintenance?

I’m 220 at 6’3 just finished a 6 month strong lifts 5x5 bulk I could go unassisted pull-ups, but the extra bulk fat keeps my reps to failure around 8, 6, 4 over 3 sets… I am half dead for the rows. It doesn’t matter how good the solution is if you can’t get buy in from the people. Unfortunately, people aren’t going to do it no matter how right your solution is. That’s reality. Continuing to tell people, who will never do it, to get the vax is not a solution and gets us nowhere.

I did it. My advice is to run slower if you need to. I was trying to run a 8 min per mile pace all the time, but I quickly hit a wall around week 4.
