I posted in the grumble page so I need to post here. I have a flight on Sunday. I am still going to be larger than most people but I should feel a lot more comfortable than I did for my last flight at the end of August. I was in a tight size 20W jeans then and this time I'm going to be wearing size 18 (US) jeans. Four and…

I'm offsetting the grumble on the other positive thread. I have been having unhealthy food for a few days. I planned for it. I'm still under 1400 calories (I usually eat way under that though). I feel so nasty. I should on paper not be gaining but I feel awful. I weigh in on Sundays but I will probably check in Saturday…

Congrats!

Wow,thanks. I can't be mobile so I have to do my losing by CICO only so it's been harder than in the past but I'm committed!
-
Yes, I have spanx-like garments but I need something more industrial...

Thanks, I did get my new milestone which was a nice surprise! I posted a lot more detail in the shared numbers thread so won't redo it here.

I hit 30 pounds! I was .2 away from it last week which seems like a slam dunk but I wasn't quite myself this past week so I wasn't sure I'd see any movement on the scale. I felt (still feel) bloated and not wanting to eat. I'm not getting a cold, I've felt hungry at times, I just have little desire for food. I know that…

My Sunday weigh in is on my spreadsheet:
-
I weighed in on the 24th and hit both the 25 pound mark (was 26) and 10% of my starting weight (11.64%). Last Sunday the 1st I got into the 220s (226.2). I don't know what tomorrow will bring. I haven't been hungry / wanting to eat this past week yet I've been feeling really bloated so whatever tomorrow brings I'll take it…

Ohhhh but when it falls off it'll be epic!!!!

Sorry, I didn't introduce myself. I am female, 49, single, live in Western PA in the United States. I have a familiar story, lost weight on MFP and stopped tracking for no real reason and yep, I'm back. I am not able to be very mobile so I'm not doing step/activity challenges. I drink a LOT of fluid so I don't really need…

I weigh in on Sundays. I'll keep posting my spreadsheet like I did in the Nov challenge, I'll just start it this time with this past Sunday since I guess that's the start.

I will also add that my trainer at the time was a very small woman.....size 4....yet she was 150 pounds. Those muscles kept her tiny and weighed a lot!
-
Have you lost size? Muscle does weigh more than fat but takes up less room so you can keep the same weight but get smaller. When I trained I was more obsessed with the scale and complained to the gym owner a lot because I thought I was on too high a calorie intake (over 2200 at the time, carbs in morning and lunch, none at…

I used to spend a lot of time in the gym, mostly weight training but did cardio a few days a week too. I have to say I've never really noticed anyone else and I think that's more normal than not from my experience. Most of the regulars were there for themselves, selfish but true, and the interaction between regulars was…

All of my physical limitations (can't really walk much/at all) will be here when I'm thinner but I'm looking forward to not having the assumption from people that me being so fat is the problem. I will be taken more seriously with my physical ailments when I'm thinner, that will be a joy. I'm being hokey but I am glad for…

@DogMom919 - some days getting out of bed is the win for the day. A friend lost his wife after a brief but horrific situation and frankly some days if he showered that was enough to consider the day a success. Overall I didn't mean to guilt people into posting more. Not my intention. Now that I've grumbled about my grumble…

I love me some spreadsheets, haha. But that's what works for me. If journals work for you then that's perfect. @CharlesScott78 Congrats - 36 pounds lost is fantastic. Add in that you estimated 20 and you're doing amazing. Just delete the line about 'still a long way to go'....don't minimize what you did. Congrats.

Same as debkogirl...I plan my week in advance and am flexible about it but am not grabbing any fast food on my way home because it's easier. I have a plan and even my deviations from the plan are planned. I'm proud of that! Looking forward to experiencing connie's 50 pound mark - what a threshold!
-
I thought it was me. I read so many posts and it seemed there was great camaraderie but it isn't what I expected. Maybe it is the time if year and people are too busy?
-
Here is my current spreadsheet. I'm in the 220s! Next week I am very likely to hit 30 pounds. Holy crap!

Here is my spreadsheet

Thanks, so kind. You'll get there, we all will. Enjoy the holiday!

When I had mobility I usually did light to moderate cardio, not strength training, when I was sick if my body would allow it (eg a cold, yes; a flu, no). I found I got better days faster and it broke up my congestion. But I was inside a warm gym and not breathing cold air further messing up my breathing. I hope you're on…

For the first time in many many years I'm going to be with others for Thanksgiving. I found a group on a website called meetup that is having a group dinner. It's a buffet which I'm not crazy about for a few reasons. When I eat out I like to be served (I can get my own food at home!). Also I am a great cook and my general…

Oh, now that's an idea. Garanimals for adults! I'm so old, lol

@merph518 is it wrong of me to be somewhat relieved men have these issues as well? I am not wishing ill-will but I generally thought mens' clothing was cut more standardized. I didn't realize they could relate as well so I'm glad I learned something. @michne16 Can we work on a clothing fairy that just tells us what we…

I have found in the past being size 18 is tricky. Plus 18 is cut too big, regular 18 is too tight. When I've been larger or smaller I had options, at 18 and 16 not so much. A size 14 will help but that's quite some time away from now. I'll put off the shopping until the last minute as usual. I have suits in smaller sizes…

This is awesome. Very inspirational. Next time you're at the grocery store go the dog food aisle. My store has 40 pounds bags - 80% of what you've lost - go pick one up and realize you're not carrying that around anymore!!!!!
-
Why is it 'only' 7 pounds in a month. If you had gained you would probably not say you only gained 7 pounds. Be proud and don't minimize your success! You did fantastic. p.s. - the words 'only' and 'just' tend to trigger me.
