  • Thanks for sharing this article!
  • Your post made me giggle. I loved it. Sounds like we feel the same. I'm 50 by the way. Wish I had got a bike a lot sooner, but I guess it's better then never. I think I will go and ride it for the first time, when it's getting dark, but somewhere with light of course. I'm probably worrying and nervous for nothing. I gotta…
  • Wow! I feel like your talking about me. I haven't been on a bike in 35 years and I will probably also have to take it somewhere to make sure I won't fall on my face, in front of my neighbors. I am kind of self concious, thinking all the neighbors will be watching me and laughing. It's probably just in my head. From what…
  • I'm so sorry. I may have missed your reply to me. I do like the option of being able to bike indoors. I'm not a fan of exercise in the really freezing cold weather, that will be coming up this year. I don't like the gym too much, although I do go from time to time. Thanks for the ideas!
  • I hope I can still ride a bike. It's been 35 years, since I rode a bike outside. I know, sounds crazy.
  • That sounds great to me! Thanks!
  • Thanks! I watched the short video. Very neat and interesting piece of equipment. I like the idea of dog walking. I don't have a dog, but I do plan to get one in the near future. I love exercising in the fall, so that is something to look forward to. Definately over walking in the heat and humidity, although people say it's…
  • Thanks! I am waiting for my bike to arrive, but I wouldn't mind being able to bike indoors too, depending on the weather. I get about the tv thing. It does make time fly, when you get tired of watching the clock. I used to walk for an hour on my treadmill, before I started watching tv. I thought the hour would never end.
  • Thanks for all the info! Sorry I’m late replying. back.
  • Many years ago, I used to have a recumbent bike and I did enjoy it. I don't think I've have ever heard of animal crosssing. Time does go fast when you can do something else, while exercising. When I use my treadmill, I watch a movie, so an hour of walking goes fast. You're concentrating on the movie, instead of how much…
  • I just mean to help with the continued weight loss part. I have done tons of walking over the year and it has helped me to lose a lot of weight. I am wanting the biking to take the place of SOME of the walking. Getting bored with the same routine. I do plan to add some gym exercise soon and hopefully build more muscle. I…
  • Thanks! I hope to work up to a good speed and distance over time, to make some kind of difference.
  • Thank you! I would love for my biking to tone up my arms some. Hopefully it will. I live in Tn, so we do have lots of hills with our trails and I could head to the mountains which aren't far either.
  • Wow, everything in your post was well said. If only I could write as well as you did in your reply. I wish I lived near the beach, now that I am getting a bike. I lived near Fort Myers Beach in SW Florida years ago, but didn't have a bike back then. However, I live in Tn, so I can at least enjoy the hills and mountain/park…
  • That's ok, my friend! I am going to read your second post now.
  • First, love your bike! Thanks for sharing. You sound like a busy person. I have not been on a bike in 35 years. I hope I can still ride one. Lol Can't wait to get my bike and start exploring, as you seem to have with your bike. What type of bike is yours?
  • Never heard of Pelton. Will have to look that one up.
  • Oh, ok. Good to know. I guess you wouldn't get a workout for the upper body, so I will probably have to find something for that to add to my bike routine.
  • Thanks for sharing your experiences. Also, I don't live in Texas, but I have visited North Dallas in the summer. You are right, it's HOT!
  • It's great to hear others who chose cycling, as their main exercise. I wasn't sure if it was enough, but I guess it is. I'm just trying to reach my weight loss goals, which I'm not far off right now.
  • Thanks for sharing! Will check out the links.
  • Thanks! That makes sense. I may have to add another type of exercise, with the biking. Just tired of the same ole thing.
  • I would have to agree with you! While I do like summer (when it's not crazy hot), I am looking forward to early fall and biking. I think for me, fall is my favorite time of the year.
  • First, sorry about your unfortanate past health issue. I hope you are past it and doing better. You sound as if you're getting a pretty good workout from biking. I hope to work up to that at some point. I haven't been on a bike in a long, long time. I just got bored with what I was doing, so wanted a change. They say…
  • That's awesome about your weight loss, just from biking alone. Your biking routine sounds about what I will be doing. Wishing you the best with your continued biking and weight loss journey!
  • Thanks! I also agree, that cycling is a fun and enjoyable exercise. I don't mind walking, but I get bored, if I'm just going around and around on a community park path, rather then some hiking trails. I think 500 calories for an hour of biking sounds great!
  • Hello, I know your post is a little older, but I saw you own a sixthreezero bike cruiser. Can I ask u a few questions? Did you buy in your local area or long distance? I have never purchase a bike far away from home. Do you have a single speed or multiple speeds? Can't remember if it's called gears or speeds) Lol Do you…
  • Thanks! I appreciate you sharing.
  • I think that is what's going on. I am just noticing it more, as the fat dissapears.
