Woo-hoo!!

Hmm. I think a new trick I have discovered just this moment, is that if I am feeling snacky, I just come to this discussion and read about mealworm treats. 🤨🤢

I judge people who watch The Good Place out of order.

Verrrry sneaky, sis! If it works for you, it's a good plan. Simple as that! A real speedbump for me is alcohol. A couple glasses of wine out with friends, and I'm ordering allllll the carbs. But I don't want to be a teetotaler. So now, I plan to order a drink that I actually don't really enjoy, so I don't finish it, like a…

My diary is open too -- but this morning I fiddled with the calorie goal to give myself more calories per day. It used to be 1320 which just wasn't sustainable for me at ALL.
-
Well, I'm sorry, you all are going to hate me because everyone is saying the exact opposite, but I can't help but give myself food rewards. It's how I was raised so how I psychologically see comfort and rewards. I almost never have nachos when I'm losing, because the way I like 'em, there's nothing good in there. But I do…

Hmm maybe I didn't drink enough water with it when I've tried it? I tried it twice (for "regularity" purposes) and both times I felt uncomfortably bloated instead of...at ease or something. I've been eating Fiber One bars occasionally for that regularity situation, they work like a charm but are actual sugary food rather…

Wow, dead thread. But I'm actually glad I saw this because I'm new enough to MFP that this gives me some insight into how some"new users" are literally just shills or PR or "social media mavens" for products and they're hoping to score some quick wins by posting on this site. Today I learned! #themoreyouknow

Thank you, @boldknee -- I manually reset it now! I mean, it's just to avoid that weird sinking feeling when I appear to have gone over the calorie/goals here, but didn't "really" do so in my mind. I appreciate your help!
-
How are you feeling, @billygunn31 ? I know it must be really hard right now... It gets easier. It gets better.
-
That makes sense, @boldknee and I suppose part of my concern is technical not physical -- I wanted MFP to show more allowed calories per day, if you know what I mean. I can eat 1500 calories a day and maintain, but MFP would say I went way over, which is hard to read and sort of humbling.

I’m a total carnivore, but I have a Beyond or Impossible burger a couple times a month...including tonight! It’s not a diet food, but tastes great IMO and since I’m not allergic to soy the only reason to not eat them would be to save money. They are processed but so is almost everything these days, they are modified but…

@picklenees7538 Thank you - I'll go there right now!
-
Thank you, @middlehaitch -- that makes sense, I just don't like it, haha.
-
@danp Probably because it's the evening and @Kjelli2015 decided to start in the morning.

It's still Halloween out here in Pacific Standard Time and that's a good thing, I guess. I blew it today! Started out strong then - bam. One beer and out go all my good intentions. Look at my diary and weep, lol. I do this too often. Good new is tomorrow is November, and there are no real opportunities to overindulge in…

I'm sure you looked and felt fantastic at 142! Don't worry about that doctor, just work on a pound a week or whatever you set your weekly goal to be. It's so great that your husband is on board with the same "better nutrition, better life" plan as you. It's always been tougher for me (lifelong yoyo-er here) when mine isn't…

You can do it! Us shorties have to be stricter which can suck, but, it is what it is. :)

Here's a yummy way I like to stretch expensive balsamic (because the cheap stuff really isn't the same, unlike some other things) for salads... it adds some little calories but so worth it for the wallet! I like to mix a mustard in with it, and how spicy the mustard is affects the proportions. For yellow mustard, half and…

One of my childhood friends has treatment-resistant clinical depression, and it's very hard...not just for her, but very much so for her family as well. I'm sure you have your struggles because of this, @fknlardarse, and that you have ways to take care of yourself while also caring for your husband. That being said, while…

Unless you're very short, 1200/day is a super low amount of calories to consistently maintain, even if 100% of it is fat and fiber (for fullness). I'm not tall (5'3") and with my low level of exercise (treadmill walking) my maintenance is 1530. MFP's suggested daily for me trying to lose weight by Thanksgiving is 1350/day.…

@X255 I feel your pain - and I'll be your low(ish) carb friend.

That looks like it might be the Lose It app, but I don't have it, just seen screenshots floating around here before. @alexandravictoria88

I see a lot more “fat person hate” online than in real life. Anonymity brings out the worst in people.

I'm a simple gal, I guess; Dunkin coffee, and lots of it with (unsweetened) almond milk, in the morning before I start my day. I like cold green tea some afternoons, and some evenings a decaf peppermint tea from Celestial Seasonings is nice.

I would love more friends here, to help me stay accountable and motivated.

Yes! I love soft adventure travel (nothing life threatening), and when I'm in better shape physically, I can keep up with my college-age kids. So, Christmas vacation is my goal for more stamina and all that.

Hang in there. <3 When you say binge, do you mean it in the clinical sense (do you have Binge Eating Disorder?) or, do you mean, you've just fallen off the healthy eating wagon for a few days? If the former, please do seek out an eating disorder specialty therapist, as it's kind of above a message board's paygrade if you…

Look at all that protein!

Hope you have a great time, it sounds like so much fun.
