People who are negative, miserable and not brave enough to take the first step into the gym like OP. :|

My sister does this all the time and she never gets into the size she buys. The clothes end up in her closet for months with the tags still on it. I tell her that is a waste of money but she says it is motivation for her. I haven't seen that motivation kick in yet at least not consistently.

The tattoo even is in better shape. Awesome work!

I WFH and I go to the gym for 2 hours every morning 6:30 - 8:30 AM. At lunch I might run errands to get outside and socialize. If the weather is nice I go outside and throw the frisbee to the dogs. When my hubby comes home I greet him like the dogs do! LOL!

This ^^ I was able to maintain during Summer vacationing now I need to get serious and stop d**ing around. Stop allowing my social life to keep me from my goals. I would like to cut 20 lbs and continue heavy weight lifting.

I am going on vacation to Jamaica Oct 31st. My plans that I usually follow: 1. Workout for an hour 30 mins cardio 30 mins strength training. If I can get up and not hungover 2. Drink Vodka and Club Soda. Tall has more club soda than vodka. 3. Eat low carbs and more protein. This is what I eat anyway. 4. Enjoy myself. If I…

I can appreciate what you are saying. Restaurants in the US serve such huge portion sizes it is almost impossible for the average person to finish everything. Do we really need a huge plate of food? My first awareness of this is when I went to Australia. The portion sizes were adequate. I was satisfied and not overstuffed…

Yeah that is true cuz you can consistently eat waaaayyy over your calories when you do eat.
-
It doesn't help
-
I was always like "How is eating everything on my plate helping "them" out!!" That drove me crazy when my parents said that
-
I don't have any mantras but I get mad at my husband when he says "You're wasting all that food" "I tell him this why there is an obesity problem in the US we were raised to FINISH everything on our plates!!" Leave me alone. If I say I am full that means I am full it doesn't matter what's left on my plate.

IMHO it averages out to be a calorie deficit. So it is no different than eating small amounts throughout the day at a deficit. In the end it all works out to be a deficit.

I just went through this 2 weeks ago! It is a horrible feeling. Tummy is sick, wake up at 2-3 AM in the morning because ur mind is thinking about the worse case scenario and then i found myself in a deep depression that was making me just want to sleep. How I got out? Prayer and exercise!! My hubby forced me to get out of…

My trainer is phenomenal. He knows my strengths and weaknesses. In areas that I am weak he personalize exercises that helps me to be stronger. Where I am strong he challenges me to lift even heavier. He is extremely knowledgeable. He emphasizes and constantly pays attention to form. He is no nonsense but in a nice way. We…

@mddmbanks I want my husband to read this thread as he constantly suffers from tendonitis all over wrists, ankles etc... Interested to see how others heal and/or prevent.

It takes time, consistency (especially diet) and dedication. Their gains did not happen overnight.

I dont know what the right formula is but I do 30 mins of cardio (running) and 60 minutes of heavy strength training various exercises. I am in a calorie deficit losing weight. I eat high protein (to preserve muscle), lowerish carbs. I am gaining great strength. This is what works for me. There are more experienced people…

Wow I haven't seen this type of thread in a few years. I thought this fad was long gone. No I've never tried.

Yep all I want is a big bag of frozen peanut M&Ms during that time! And that is what I eat!

I am like this especially if i had a really hard workout. Fortunately I work from home so I can take a quick 30 min nap during my lunch break. Try drinking some coffee. That usually helps me if I can't get in a nap.

I don't grunt it's more like a high pitched woo! :)

It took a month for me to get in the habit of working out in the mornings. I set my alarm at 5:30 AM but I snooze a couple of times and get up at 5:50 AM. I jump in the shower and that helps to wake me up. The shower is the only thing that gets me going. I am usually at the gym on the TM by 6:30 AM. I work from home so i…
