So as I’m riding my bike today and enjoying the moment a question popped into my mind...”when did you start loving yourself?” So that’s the question I’d like to pose to each of you lovely ladies🥰

@nightkit6 Thank Goodness Valentines Day fell on a Friday, my weigh in day! I planned on not logging dinner at all! Between the Escargot, Crab Masion, Crab Cakes, Seared Scallops, Bread and Turtle Cheesecake...I'm sure I stayed under LOL!
-
@Candyn617 Our Valentines Day dinner included a Turtle Cheesecake dessert and it was heaven. It's funny how slowly both my hubby and I ate it (we shared the entire meal). Just sitting their eating it looking at each other gave us both ideas LOL! We promptly went home, got undressed and....fell asleep! LOL! We were in such…

When I talk about the mental part of my journey, this is exactly what I’m referring to. What I am trying so hard to do is to look at not only what I see on the outside but what is happening on the inside of my body. When you look at what’s going on inside of your body… From the health of your teeth because you are eating…

@Aerohead21 and @speyerj thank you both so much🥰 for the additional information which support my readings. It’s a wonderful feeling to know that my mental mindset about this journey is focused on my overall health as opposed to a number.

After a lot of reading I’ve come to the conclusion that my goal of reaching my “normal” BMI weight of 174 pounds is not realistic. Not because I can’t reach that goal but because my body type...tall and a larger frame needs a few more pounds. My doctor suggested a weight of 185-190. He knows my goal is to get off BP…

This right here is an excellent observation!

@Candyn617 Great Job!!

Good morning love @ericak6722. Stay strong💪🏽. Have you been eating high in sodium? That that causes me to retain water.

Checking In🥰 SW: 288 CW: 230.6 From 1/24/2020 to 2/7/2020 I shed 3.4 pounds. I would have been ecstatic with shedding a pound (I’m focusing on shedding a 1/2 pound to 1 pound a week) because I’m still going in the right direction. There’s something happening with me and how I’m beginning to think about food. I still get…

GOD GIVES US THE ABILITY TO VISUALIZE SUCCESS! I grew up in a family of two alcoholics. I remember sitting in my bedroom looking out the window dreaming about going to college and never coming back. I've been inducted into the Delaware State Track and Field Hall of Fame and the Delaware State African American Hall of…

@aliciap0116 I have four pair of Lucky Brand jeans size 22W! I know this may sound crazy but...I am going to have all four pair altered to my size once I reach my goal weight. I'm going to remove all the labels like the size and type of the jeans. When the seamstress alters them, I'm gonna ask her to sew the labels back…

@Savannah80 1200 calories is mentally and physically difficult on the body especially if you are also working out. Are you sure your body is getting enough. Increasing your intake by 200 to 300 calories may improve both the physical and mental part of your journey.

@majesticdj Welcome to the party! We are all dancing to the beat of a healthier, happier new year! You can do it!

I am crying tears of joy right now! I am under 235 pounds! I weighed in this morning and I am now 234.8 pounds! When I started this journey I simply wanted to loose a 1/2 pound a week! I’ve lost a little more than that on average and I’m just feeling so very blessed!! Have a wonderful wonderful day everyone!!!
-
So as I’m going through my books I found the beginnings of a two year journal that I never finished. I’m going to work on it but I wanted to share a few entries. Wow! Life!
-
@Savannah80 it could be that your not eating enough to support your workouts and your body is holding on to your intake (water and food).

@pamiede I LOVE THAT GRAPHIC!!!

@lorrpb I am so very proud of you! You inspire me!!

I started out with the elliptical machine. Up until a week ago I was doing 60 minutes on the elliptical machine five times a week (I incorporated a weight workout in June 2019 after starting my weight loss journey on 6/1/2018) Last week my gym installed a Jacob’s Ladder workout machine and I am completely hooked. In the…
