There was both and yes, it was my perspective on intent in the responses, which is inherrently ambiguous. Hence this discussion and why I felt linking was largely irrelevent.

I know what you mean, but even if the IG picture is filtered and whatever, they STILL accomplished a physique that was able to be improved slightly via filters/lighting/flexing that resulted in the picture that was posted. Its really no different than women with makeup; they're accentuating what already exists. So, I feel…

Based on your profile picture, you look young and already in good shape. I believe sub 10% is very reasonable for you but that does require a close grip on your diet, exercise and overall health. You may also want to allow yourself periods (fall and winter for me) where you allow yourself to go into the 12-15% range.

Phew! lol

Been there, done that. Honestly would recommend it even if you think things are great, they can always get better.

I should've but his request was for friend adds and I don't really have a desire to accumulate friend connections on here. The direction some of the responses went bugged me so I started this because I wanted to see what others thought. You're not addressing the context now that I've provided it though... Edit: I replied.…

Unless you're chasing lifting numbers. I deadlift 585 with no straps or gloves but if I put gloves on, that added diameter and the movement of the material between my hands and the bar would actually reduce my grip and I wouldn't be able to pull the same amount. There's a reason powerlifters don't use gloves. But, if…

Maybe a "tough love" suggestion but I feel you're letting your dislike for AM exercise get in the way of compromise to accommodate his work schedule and what's suffering is your sleep. Maybe you can retool your thinking to have the early wakeups be a fun warmup and "embrace the suck" and just move your workout to the…

This is not me bragging and my point is not to take issue with these people, it's to have a conversation about that kind of behavior. You're pretty determined to misunderstand though so have a nice day.

I have a Nokia (formerly Withings). I dont trust the bf% but it syncs with an app so you have record of your weigh ins, shows trends and allows for multiple users. I like it.

Weight is just one metric of progress and is often misleading. Take pictures and measurements and note how clothes feel instead.

Ahhh, the joys of public healthcare...

Nooooo, why ruin perfectly good cookie dough by cooking it?

I'm gonna assume this was sarcasm?

Anything sweet. I prefer savory and have been known to order 2nd steak and skip dessert.

The 500 calorie per day intake made you lose 15 lbs, not the carbs. You could've eaten 500 calories of pure carbs and still would've lost. If you're happy doing low carb, that's fine though. You need more protein and fat in that case. Meat, oils, nut butters, protein powder, etc. 500 calories is way too low.

Cardio isnt necessary to burn fat and but I'm not sure that's what you're saying. Just clarifying it.
-
That's a good one!

I've already said I'm not going to call out individuals so if that's not good enough, not sure what to tell you. If I thought the person telling me so was more knowledgeable or experienced than me, it would have had a negative effect. Maybe once I realized it wasn't true, it would have had the opposite effect.

Lmaooooooo! I enjoyed this

Ok, random suggestion: read or listen to Atomic Habits by James Clear. It's about setting small habits and he talks about how that allows us to feel good about ourselves as we do them rather than the delayed satisfaction of reaching a goal. As for self esteem, you might not be where you want to be but you're worth…

A low day for me is 350g, high can be 600. Still waiting on them to make me fat or diabetic
-
And that's all fair enough. And I'm not saying that I had any more context than the people I thought were being unnecessarily negative. Again, it was more a philosophical look at when and why people slap a "unrealistic" sticker on other people's goals. Some are deserving, others are (in my opinion) people saying that…

Was it worth it though?

What are you looking for the app to do?

Lmao, I get my fair share of disagree's but I'd love this one to defend it

Would make him feel better if you carried some pepper spray maybe
