  • Rum only has 70 calories an ounce. If you go sugar free for the cola (I have a Sodastream so I can sweeten it with whatever I want) you have a pretty reasonable treat if you don't overindulge.
  • 8. I don't like people XD. Nah. I have social anxiety and need my space. Also, I loathe being flirted at so being a solo act works best for me.
  • I'm not at goal yet but I've lost 50lb as if this morning by portion control and walking. Nothing has been dropped from my diet. I had cookies and milk for a snack today, a rum and coke yesterday. I just fot it into my day's calories and the weight has been steadily coming off.
  • I make work lunches for the week. I cook big batches in my Instant Pot and portion everything out in glass lunch containers. Since I'm a solo act, I make one meal every few days, and eat the leftovers before I cook again. For breakfast I bake muffins, amount a month's worth at a time. However many meals you make ahead, I…
  • Some of my food intolerances have vastly improved, maybe even gone away. It's early to know. I'm not playing fast and loose but I've eaten four of my main food triggers with no side effects. Perhaps raw veggies will again be in my future.
  • Hi wo0psie. We're similar in age, I'm coming up on 35. I was diagnosed with PCOS over 10 yrs ago. I didn't even try lose weight until recently because I figured I would fail given the PCOS. Well I decided enough was enough in Sept and lost 15lb before getting the app in Feb. Now I'm down an additional 35lb! You can do…
  • I only seriously noticed in the last few weeks. I mean, I noticed my dress size dropping but it suddenly fell off my face and neck so when I look in the mirror it's a whole new face. I'm not done yet, lots of flab still and I might need to adjust my goal to shrink it down enough but, I can see a fair bit has come off.
  • I make small oatmeal muffins, depending on the flavour they end up being 160-180 calories. Freeze the things and take them out to thaw on the counter each morning. I literally get up and go so I don't even want to take the time to eat cereal.
  • I've lost my double chin, my neck is long and lean, and I can see my biceps getting toned. I believe I can and will get fit.
  • I have PCOS as well, diagnosed about over ten years ago. For years I used it as an excuse not to address my weight, figuring I was doomed to fail, and I am not fond of failing. I was under 200lb and figured that was good enough so I just ignored the scale and my slowly creeping up clothing size. In Sept I saw 210lb on the…
  • My cholesterol has never been bad, overweight or not. My sister is super petite and hers is high. She cannot lose weight without dropping into an unhealthy BMI. Our mother lost 80lb, ate zero cholestrol, and barely 1000 calories a day for a year. Her cholesterol did not go down one point. For some people it's just the luck…
  • You've done an amazing job!
  • As I've lost weight I've bought a pair of cheap jeans here and there. The size I was before I started losing was an 18 or 16, I'm currently a 10, and will probably be an 8 or 6 when I'm at whatever weight ends up being my final goal. In no universe could I wear those 18s, even belted now, 9mths in. For the summer I've…
  • I second this. I have black outs and fainting spells in the summer if I don't watch my sodium and potassium, especially my sodium. I have a hard time eating even close to recommended levels.
  • Drop into the single digits for my pants size. Haven't been since my mid teens. I'm in 10s now for the most part. 17lb to my first goal. I'd like to be at goal or within striking distance for my b-day in Aug.
  • I have PCOS as well. To be honest I used it a an excuse for a long time not to address my weight. I was not as big as other women with PCOS that I knew. I told myself so long as I was under 200lb I was okay. But over ten years after my diagnosis my weight had hit 210lb and I decided I was not happy with this. So I started…
  • I don't have shortness of breath but the healthline thinks I have it. I have a cough, but it's not the worst of it for me. Worst of it is body aches, exhaustion, a fever that won't break but isn't high enough to be dangerous. But really it's the malaise as they're calling it here. It's really unpleasant. They aren't…
  • There are tons of lactose free products out there, from milk, to sour cream, to cheese. They operate the same way as regular dairy because they are except they have lactase added. You can take lactase pills but for me the additives in the pill were a bad trigger so I've stuck to lactose free. It all cooks and bakes the…
  • Hey all. I'm not worrying about daily goals at the moment. I came down with a case of suspected Covid-19 so my goal is to take care of myself. I'll be okay, I'm young and otherwise healthy. Mostly exhausted, aside from the coughing garbage, and finding it hard to drag myself up to make food. I hope everyone stays healthy,…
  • Mom has symptoms that could be the beginning of the virus or a flare of her asthma and/or sarcoidosis. Realistically speaking, they are more likely to be her asthma than anything. Stress is a trigger. She is hugely stressed by my sister and her family still being on a cruise ship. How they will get from the port back home…
  • I'm sitting in my office waiting for my manager to get back. Mom called, she's having symptoms of either this *kitten* thing or her asthma and sarcoidosis. She has be advised to self isolate. I was last around her Sat. I may be asked by my work to do the same. Which is fine but now I'm scared for my parents who are twice…
  • Work is up and down. We SHOULD close. Business is dead as the industry we serve is not essential and many, even most, of our customers have shut down as the government has advised. But it appears our board of directors is afraid to take that leap. Probably because shutting down would very literally gut the supply chain for…
  • Meeting was cancelled XD So we are all whispering about what is going to come next since the managers are in yet another meeting. I know why we haven't just shut down. Us closing would pretty much cripple the supply chain of our industry.
  • I am low on the totem pole. My particular chunk of the job is literally only me but the people who've worked 20yrs in the company will be kept on over my 3yrs. Whatever will be, will be. I'm trying not to stress but... kinda hard.
  • My work is holding a company wide meeting in 2hrs. This might mean a mass layoff. It might mean announcing we will be shutting our doors to customers and switching to delivery only. Not thrilled to have to wait to know.
  • This proved to be a minor flare. I'm functional, this is good. JFT Tues Log food Stay green Cardio of some variety Clean something, doesn't matter what. Drink 50oz
  • I did nothing productive today. Unfortunately for me, one of my chronic health troubles is having a flare and I've been in bed. I might finally have gotten it under control with medication and heat so I quickly made dinner and now I'm back in bed for the night. Log food Stay green Keep on top of flare Go to work Maybe…
  • Laying in bed, being smothered by my cats. One of my chronic health issues is flaring today so I'm going to stay hydrated, cuddle cats and binge watch documentaries.
  • Coronaviruses are a type of virus. That's why the medical community dubbed this corona virus as Covid 19.
  • I didn't do as much cleaning as planned, just a bit of the kitchen. Mom and Dad needed some tech help and I'm their IT person so I came over, took care of that, did laundry, and cooked dinner for everyone. Life continues.
