I've done 13 mins this week (longest was 90 seconds). I'm going to obviously need to step it up a bit in the next 3 weeks to get to 60, but overall I'm happy with week 1. Great work all

How long have you been tracking for? Sometimes I think the body holds onto old patterns and places of mass, then reaches a tipping point and cant anymore. Anecdotally I've heard it called the whoosh effect but I'm not sure of the science there. You may need to look at other ways of tracking as the scale can be very fickle…

This is a cool thread! I'll aim for the 60 minutes since I'm new. Checking my diary I havent actually done any planks yet this month- about time! And Katmary71 - my dog loves to crawl under me when I'm doing planks too! I think she thinks she's helping.... Thanks all who came up with this and keep it going. Great idea

I'm 5'3, female, 120lbs and I'm currently sculpting abs losing just a few lbs, and I've lost 1 pound already on a 1900 calorie diet. Sometimes I think we need to eat a bit more in order to get the energy and metabolism to lose weight. For me there is a sweet spot, over 2500 I gain fat as well as muscle, below 1700 calories…

I usually talk about aiming to gain healthy muscle and achieve fitness goals like running or climbing, and don't mention fat loss even when it's in my plan! Not that I think you need to justify anything to others, but this enables me to discuss health in a positive way with people without being told I shouldn't be losing…
