I was in a car accident that paralyzed me for a short time from the neck down back in the end of 2006. I've suffered from nerve issues since and mobility issues. Had a treadmill to try to maintain weight (I was 6' 1" and 170 lbs until that point) but it hurt, and I gained weight. I just went with it because I was in pain…

Thank you!

Thanks! Yesterday it was 36 lbs now, so it's moving along. Had to put on an old pair of pants a couple days ago, and my belt is getting too long now. There are so many other things I'm finding that are little signs pointing to success as well as just the scale...

Nothing wrong with losing your way as long as you get back on track. Just like how most people have to start to quit multiple times before one finally sticks. Important thing is to keep trying, and not get discouraged. I just started my journey towards health also, so good luck!

I'm new here too, don't know how to add someone yet, feel free to add me though, encouragement and support never hurt anyone on a journey towards better health. Good luck!

Just joined, starting my journey so don't know how to add someone, but feel free to add me. Nothing wrong with more encouragement and support!

Good luck! I'm just starting as well.

Didn't even know we could add friends somehow and motivate each other... I have no idea how to add someone so feel free to add me. I'm just starting my journey to health so motivation is always helpful.

Thanks! I've been doing that, and have a yoga exercise circle and even a long weighted bar to use while walking, so baby steps... When I'm not on the treadmill I also have a ton of different resistance bands, and a pretty comprehensive weight lifting system in the basement that I'll eventually work into as well. Right now…
