  • Feel free to add me. I jog about 5 days out of the week. It can be as little as 2 miles, but If weather is nice I’ve been known to get into a Forrest Gump mode and before I know it I’ll go on a 10 mile jog.
  • Finally tried out a Apple+ workout. All I can say it was definitely a challenge doing an interval treadmill session. Wife walked by when I was huffing on one of the all out intervals.
  • It was a 3 mile walk @ 4 mph day and decided I’d jog a 4th mile. Well the sweats had been fine for the walk but 1 min into the jog they almost fell off. The NSV moment was actually that I kept my pace at 6.5 mph pulled up the sweats and tide them at least for not to fall off for 1/2 a mile. Good enough.. Inside on…
  • Bought some Spyder sweaters at Costco in large for daily use and medium for jogs in cold weather. I actually wear the mediums more often for daily use. These are definitely not forgiving on size so the medium fitting comfortably with an undershirt and jeans is definitely a surprise. Actually used the large for todays 46…
  • 5k under 30 and the best part.. Finally got a mile under 9 mins outdoors🏃🏾 Have done it on treadmill, but today it was all on me setting the pace and not the treadmill dictating it. I actually let out a “Yeah!” when the watch said 8:52… so I hit it to get the 5k done. Ended the workout walking home an additional 1.25 mile…
  • Great smile… fabulous neck line. And beauty on the cheeks…
  • 4 mile treadmill jog. Nice way to get rid of some liquid stress. Clothes soaked completely.
  • Started the year with 3 miles under 30 and an additional walked mile with ma lady. I cut the yard as well so I’ve actually put in a nice 10 miles on the 1st day of the year. Enjoying some homemade sangria now… Happy New Year to you all.
  • 1/4/20 (Had been discharged from the hospital on 12/27/19. Was waiting to see my Dr. later that week for hospital follow up and be given the green light to start doing some exercise) 1/1/22 (Chilling after my 3 mile all miles under 10 minute jog… with another walked mile for good measure) Happy New Year to all. Keep at it…
  • On the 21st it was the 2 year anniversary of my week long stay at club med. On 1/16 it will be 2 year anniversary when I started the new lifestyle. It is going pretty good. I managed to loose another 45 lbs this year. Will hopefully be in maintenance and looking at adding a few lbs of muscle in 2022. I do consider myself a…
  • Do a lot of walking. Once you’ve built some stamina and can walk comfortably at least 2.5-3.5 mph start adding a min here and there. If you’ve never been a jogger then you need to start from the ground and find what is going to work for you. I use to be a jogger in my 20s. I took a 25 year break. Many many lbs had to come…
  • Been searching for a pair of full 💯% cotton jeans to confirm if size I wear these days is not to far off. Most of the jeans you get these days have way to much elastine interwoven. Usually shop at Costco and stick with Levi’s which have about 2% elastine. So not men jeggings, but they definitely are a tiny bit forgiving.…
  • Full 5.11 mile jog today on the treadmill. A little over 10 min per mile avg. Was going to go for a 10k but ankle was not feeling it. So good enough for today…
  • When I got out of the shower I was able to balance and alternate between my left and right leg. While balancing I dried off the lifted leg. Something so simple yet amazing that me 5 10 15 years would not even think of attempting. 😝
  • I was not feeling it today so definitely held back. Slow jogged 4 miles.. finished off by walking a 5th mile in 14 min. It turned out to be a decent workout nonetheless. Someone please pass the sangria 🥃🥴
  • Surprising that any of the folks including myself replying with the point that your intake is low are getting a lot of disagrees. If you were severely overweight going low is typically recommended, but usually monitored by a Dr. Everyone is different so I’d recommend stop looking here for the right solution. Talk to your…
  • Your calorie at 1500 seems a bit low for a 39 year old. Your body may not be wanting to let go of excess since it thinks not enough going in. Going to the gym and doing what? Your walks are at what speed? Commendable that your moving but a mile walked say between 1.5-2.5 mph is not going to count much in regards to making…
  • Finishing up a glass of Sangria and thinking about having another one.
  • Time to make the 🍩s…
  • Managed to avoid the rain and was able to get in a 5 mile jog before lunch. 10’31”MI pace..
  • Thanks.. 🙏 Going with what I dig.. I used to do it when I was in my early 20s and with a little bit of effort I am doing what I did over 25 years ago. Went for a nice 5 mile jog today..
  • 4.5 miles in 46 min on the treadmill. So slightly over 10 min per mile @6 mph. Would have gone for 6 miles, but didn’t want to make the boss lady wait for lunch.
  • Be ready for plateaus along your journey to a lifestyle that is sustainable for the long term. Don’t be solely concerned with the number on the scale. I use to be in your weight range. I’m 6 ft at 51. I’ve been in a plateau with the same 10 lbs since August. Up and down. In that time frame I’ve continued to increase to…
  • 1/2 cup of cherries, 5 oz 0% fage, 1 ounce of Pumpkin Elizabeth Granola and 16oz of coffee with a dash of half and half.
  • Hang in there to all you guys…. I am now at the point where if I want to feel extra comfy I wear 32s. They require a belt. They were a little loose on the butt so I thought let me give it a try so went to Costco to find some 30/32s. Found out they don’t sell that size @brick and mortar. Felt like the old obese days where…
  • Strong coffee and a few pistachio cranberry biscottis…. Saving it for lunch
  • hydrate hydrate hydrate.. also be aware of other foods that you may have dropped. If exercise is also just recently introduced then soreness will be often. Don't try to do it all. Start slow but again make sure your dinking plenty of water.
  • Sorry not to be mean to the OP. You may have medical needs, but you need to do this through DR's. Coming here and getting anecdotal info. will not help you if you are truly in need of medical attention on this or your previous thread regarding diabetes concerns. I have first hand experience with family and hypochondriac I…
  • Keep at it. Make it about health and lifestyle you’ll get there.
