  • Did a slower 10k today. 10:39 avg. 4 days and 4 10ks.
  • 4th day and just another 10k. Was only a few houses down from my place when the rain started coming down. Altered it a bit from yesterdays outing to cut out some twists and turns. Good enough to give the knees and ankles a break.
  • Logged a faster 10k avg of 10:16 per mile on Wednesday’s outing. Sliced off over a min from Tuesday’s 10k. I thoroughly enjoyed the new route I actually scoped out after I dropped the kid off at school. Maybe another slow and steady outing today. By the way I think I actually hit one of those magical miles I mentioned. It…
  • Another day another 10k on Wednesday. This time avg went up to 10:16 per mile. If the body allows it I may go for a 10k a day this week. I tried a completely new route today. It was a nice change since it had a few down incline and flat stretches. Back to the house which was longest part of the run it was tougher since it…
  • Well I added 1:33 to each mile today… Ended up mirroring Monday and went for a 10k Tuesday. I purposely slowed down. On yesterdays jog I avg’d 9:56 a mile todays was @11:29. I was only going to do 4 slow steady miles, but got curious about cal comparison so kept going… Yesterday was a 757 cal run and today was 755. The…
  • Well mirrored Monday and went for another 10k Tuesday. I purposely ran it much slower. On yesterdays jog I avg’d 9:56 a mile todays was @11:29. I was only going to do 4 slow steady miles got curious about cal comparison so kept going… Yesterday was a 757 cal run and today was 755. About 10 minutes extra on todays run. It…
  • 10k Monday and suiting up now for maybe a 3-5 mile jog. The body will determine…. Will have some Tom Yum with chicken waiting for me when I get back home…
  • I started jogging when I was about 50-almost 60 lbs heavier… I can push myself now a bit more than I did back then. Then again I was very cautious when I started jogging again. Hadn’t done a jog in 20+ years and was under belief I couldn’t ever run again… this is what I did to myself… I neglected myself…. As you drop lbs…
  • I still do and enjoy outside jogs more, but the last few weeks I’ve been slower so actually have slowed my pace even more. Also I’ve moved several sessions to the tread. Been averaging on them between 11-12 min with 3-5 miles distances. One of the benefits of owning multiple shoes is on a tread I literally sweat into my…
  • Make it your lifestyle. No fad dieting, no specific #s to get to. Strive for it to be part of your daily life. Be healthy... People treat their cars, house, plants, family, pets better than they do themselves. You need to worry firstly about you and then everyone else benefits. Like taking a bath, brushing your teeth,…
  • Tuesday 10k. 65 minutes slow and steady… 10:26 avg mile… kept it at my usual 165 SPM…
  • Slow&steady 3.3 miles tread jog and 15 mins on the elliptical.
  • 3 Werthers Originals before bed
  • Just like taking a bath, brushing your teeth, etc etc… exercise and controlling your intake should be items to add to those daily routines. Do it as a sustainable lifestyle for your life.. Fad dieting may help you get to a #, but if its for that reason you subscribe to it well most folks go back to old habit as soon as #…
  • In reverse. Make my French press 20 oz of Lavazza espresso in the morning. And may do venti americano @starbucks

  • Did go for a late lunch jog.. Windy and sunny on and off… purposely started slow and kept pushing it every mile… so good enough to enjoy dinner and some adult refreshments…
  • Was pushing on my lower back and my shirt got stuck on the belt. Was like huh? I don’t really need a belt so don’t wear it often, but I bought it and it has these cool locking magnets(it snaps makes me feel like I wear Batman’s utility belt 🤣) Came to realization that the large belt seems to wrap almost 1.5 times around…
  • On 4/20 ran 4.2 miles in 42 mins. Well almost….. Had to fight the win I did bad math and ended up sprinting the last .20 but missed it by 36 secs.. 😂 ….. and for those of you in the know on my user name. Mota is my actual last name.. so 4/20 is a special day for me…
  • Very cool. Keep moving ahead. A step at a time.. 👍
  • Thank you…
  • Definitely went a bit slower today. 3 hrs of yard work before I finally stopped rested about 30 and then hit the road for a 5k. Got it done in 30.46 so decided why not walk another 15 min mile since I took it easy. Dinner and 🥃 shortly.
  • Jogged 5 miles around hood on Friday with an additional 1.2 walked miles and 5 mile jog at the lake yesterday. Today likely a slow and steady 5k. I end my week with a 30 min WO on Sundays. The first mile will dictate if I don’t have to add a few extra minutes to get the full 30 mins knocked out. Happy Easter’s to all that…
  • Thank you 🙏 1st off.. A bit of background. I am 51 now.. I use to jog/run in my early to late 20s. I detoured after injuries, marriage, and plain old being a lazy *kitten*.. Landed in hospital on 12/19 for a week. In all likelihood I was an early recipient of the corona gift. I don’t usually claim to have had it, but all…
  • Sounds like a solid plan. Stick to what works for you and if you’re enjoying yourself trying to get there. Depending on what the body is telling me I can do is all I’ll do. Slow down speed up and keep going another 5 mins mile etc.. the soreness is some of the enjoyment 🤣
  • Got my pants ready for 4/20. 🤣 Took them out for test on Tuesday.
  • With an overall crowd of 21726 I was in the 11% of finishers. In both overall male and my age of 50-54 bracket I was just above 14% of finishers. I did what I could and can’t say I’m disappointed. My goal for next year is to get in the 10% across the board. Maybe get a mile or 2 under the 8 min mark… I am now fairly…
  • Nice nice work. Doing the work.
  • Came home before lunch to finish out the week before starting a 5 day weekend. Figured knock out todays WO before eating lunch and weekly staff. Wanted to get in a 5 mile tread jog done. Got a little to sweaty and watch stopped and then I got prompted if I was jogging and if I wanted to start tracking a jog. 🤬. I got 2…
  • Slow and steady. Took Monday real easy with a 5k walk, but stepped it back up with a 5 mile jog today. Got very windy as things were finishing up, but still managed a 5 mile outing. The sore nips said 5 miles is good enough…
