5-6 oz of 0% Fage with 4-5 oz of fresh mango, pineapple or grapes. Also a cup or 2 of coffee with a half oz of half and half per cup. I’ve been skipping the half oz of Purely Elizabeth pumpkin cinnamon or vanilla almond butter granola lately. I just up the fruit. So 200-300 cals. My combos that I pick between usually 4-6…

If you don't sweat profusely as I do on workouts Beats Fit Pro are very nice. If your doing inside your home/gym work outs optimized music or audio tracks from shows and movies are superb with these. Cancelation for an ear bud is pretty good. However my daily buds are PowerBeats Pro. Around the ear hook makes them stay in…

Made it happen… Finished the Austin Capital 10k in 56:40. Not to bad. Overall my rankings were fairly decent. In overall crowd of 21726 I was in the 11% of finishers In both overall male and my age of 50-54 bracket I was just above 14% of finishers. Maybe 🤔 next year I’ll shoot to be in the top 10% across the board. Got a…

Didn’t do my usual end of the week easy Sunday 30 minute workout. After a 29 year hiatus I ran the 45th Austin Capital 10k… so got a 10k done early in the day… You know I think I can’t complain that I got my work out done early and overall did pretty good…

After a 29 year hiatus I completed an officially sanctioned race. Entered and finished the 45th Austin Capital 10k. Last time I entered this one I was 22. Males 50-54 bracket I finished 119th out of 825. Finished it @PB of 56:40.

The below pic shows my days total cals spent. This number will not be displayed in mfp as your total cals burned during the day. The two following pics are my jog and mfp acknowledging that jog and all the additional steps I get in during the day. I’ve set my mfp to track this since I wear my watch pretty much 24/7. This…

After doing a 10k on Friday just under 60 mins I’ve been a lot slower than usual. My endurance has also taken a hit. I did a slower 4 mile jog on Sat. Sundays is my easy weekly work out. I did a 5k in slightly over 30 mins. Today I went back up to a 4.23 mile jog. Felt sluggish, but kept my avg to 10:39 min miles. Now Sat…

👠s 👙 …😏 going to have to add some extra effort on my next jog… I have a thing now with getting more jogging shoes since I usually do at least a daily 5k… but good for you. I’m trying for at least 15 more down but it is harder as I get closer…

Will be donating two of my nicely used joggers. In great shape and still plenty of life in them. As daily joggers for me not up to speed plus both of them are actually a half size bigger than all my recent acquired ones. Happy trails buds you’ve served me well 🥺. That said during my 10k lunch jog on Friday got the…

Was able to suit up in my 29 year old shirt…. I guess it fits. Went on easy enough got a little nervous thought I’d need jaws of life to get out of it. 😥 ha ha This was after I ran a 10k during lunch in about 59 mins and 48 seconds. Found out after being virtual the last few years next Capital 10k will be on 4/10. I may…

Kept my word… 10k jog for lunch. Initially was a little disappointed. Was over 60 min for the 10k. Officially 10k is 6.21 miles. I stopped the jog and watch at 6.23 miles. If I did my math right my 10k was done in 59.486 minutes… under 1hr. 🥳 Feel free to bust ma bubble.. I’ll just push it a little next time… First and…

Jogged the same 5 mile jog route from Wednesday on Thursday … in reverse. Times were a little worse. Then again I decided to go slow. Initially was going to just do 5k, but figured weekend coming some drinks and some food consumption will be happening so yeah.. may do 10k lunch jog today then a nap..

Wednesday is peek of the week for me I so try to get a longer jog in but wind has been a pain this week. The sun was just right and after a night of showers everything looked so nice and clean. Couldn’t pass it up. Figured the 18 mph wind were going to really be a factor. Surprisingly my times started off nicely and kept…

Definitely start with some walking. Build it up recognize the pains that could sideline you and know when to throttle back. I do a lot of jogging and on occasion I am back to walking to recover when things feel wrong. Good job on breaking in your new kicks… stick with it..

If you can be like most folks work at improving your sleeping habits. A lot of case study’s and Drs will point a direct correlation between poor sleeping habits and health.. I wish I could be like most folks. I’m a bit of an outlier in that I’ve gone from being pretty unhealthy weight wise to now being in fairly decent…

Great work. Makes me smile when I find a fellow jog junky… looks like you’ll reach your c25k goal soon enough. Just pay attention to your body. It’ll tell when your pushing to hard. Today I did an outside 2 miler with 18 mph winds half the time. Managed some decent time nevertheless. Finished off today with 25 minutes on…

Great thread. Had stopped jogging for 25+ years. After a club med vacation and a year of walking and eventually introducing some jogging these days I usually do a daily 5k. I’m not setting any speed records, but getting one done in 28 mins and a few secs for me is a great accomplishment. At 52 am more conscious of all the…
