  • Almost all of us did not understand how to use MFP when we started. Accumulate some MFP friends. Interact with them by reading their posts & asking questions. Note what they eat & how successful they are. Log every food you eat & learn their nutritional values. We can do this!
  • I'm a guy, started in January at 372# with a BMI of 50. Now I'm at 306# & my BMI is 42. My advice is not to diet, but to change the way you eat. Find how many calories you burn, find a safe, sustainable calorie intake & make it your own. Don't eat less than 1000 calories per day if you're a woman, & 1200 calories per day…
  • The difference is most impressive, but you are lovely in both pics.
  • If you have lost lots of weight, your belly looks all crinkly & bad! I'm no less likely to take my shirt off in public than before! I want people to notice my weight loss more than they do or at least more than they mention. It looks like in about a month I will have lost 20% of my body weight. I hope it's more noticeable…
  • My mini goal is to get down to 300# by the 4th of July. I know that sounds ridiculous, but my weight hasn't been that low in 40 years & it's a big milestone for me.
  • I'm grateful that you brought this up. I've lost 64 pounds with 123 pounds to go. About 1/3 of the way. I don't want to buy new clothes that I know I won't be able to wear for long, but I'm down to 3 pairs of pants & 2 pairs of shorts I can get away with. I like the idea of thrift store clothes, thanks! I broke down a…
  • Ready-to-drink Quest chocolate protein shakes. Best price of the ready-to-drink products. Most recently I paid $14.99 for a carton of 12. And 30 grams of protein.
  • Well, hello! I'm glad to find this group. I'm Rock, Christian & married, right leg amputee, 60 years old, 6 feet even, 308# with 123# left to lose. I started at 372# with WW in January 2020, then switched in May to MFP because I was almost always below points & I wanted automated tracking of more than just points. I try to…
  • I started in January 2020 with 187 to lose. I've lost 64, so I'm roughly 1/3 of the way. We can do this!
  • Okay, don't laugh. At least not out loud. I've lost 64 pounds since January, down to 308. I'm trying to get to 300 by July 4th.
  • Congratulations! I started at 372 & I'm now at 308, so you can imagine how much I admire you. Did you start exercising when you got serious about losing weight or did you wait to begin exercising? My hips are bad so I just started back walking today. Baby steps, but consistent is how I've lost the weight I have so far.…
  • Thinly sliced apples! Mocha! 18 oz (decaf) coffee, 1 high-protein, low-calorie chocolate shake, 2 tbsp PB2, 2 tbsp Sugar-Free Nesquik. I microwave the protein shake for 2 minutes, pour in a 30 oz stainless steel Yeti-type mug, mix in the PB2 & Nesquik (stir well), then pour in the coffee & stir. It's delicious, replaces a…
  • That's wonderful!!! You are literally my hero. I'm down 64 pounds with 123 to go. Your achievement inspires me to think that I can do it, too. Thank you very, very much for sharing & God bless you the rest of the way.
