Hi everyone, just saying hi and checking in, I met my goals today both eating and exercising so I feel good. What are your goals and what’s working for you to meet them? I am working on logging every meal, eating mindfully, and avoiding late-night snacking. Also being aware of my hunger in a better way, getting used to…

That was pretty vague just now...let’s try again. I don’t want to obsess about dieting and food, but I’ve been turning to food in boredom and restlessness during this lockdown. I love exercising and am in good shape, but if I’m not attentive to how I eat, I’ll gain weight. That’s what has happened in the past month or so.…

Hi there, I’m trying to get back on this. I’ve been overeating during lockdown and want to kick that habit. I enjoy exercise but struggle with emotional eating. I’m 51 and am very grateful for my life but want to maintain a sense of control and fitness as I age. Tell me about you and let’s support each other!

Me too...adding everyone as friends.

Thanks for your post OP... it was helpful to me. I agree with everyone that professional help will empower you. You bring up an important issue about exercise and weight loss. I had some of the same issues as you. Ironically, exercising less led to me losing more weight. This is a head trip for me. I love big cardio…

This was a great thread. We have to be able to enjoy food and not obsess over it. Thanks for sharing and I agree that we have to find sustainable ways of eating and healthy habits. Let us eat cake!

In the morning I did Yoga with Adriene... she is amazing. Then I did a trampoline workout. After getting some work done at my computer, I took a long walk. Closed all three rings on my Apple Watch.

Sorry I am still learning how to quote someone... @jenifergotti I was responding to you

I have been a stay home mom for 13 years and was in great shape until I went back to school 2 years ago. When I am home, I eat good and exercise more consistently, when I have out of the home stuff going on, that when I gain...... Isn’t that interesting? There are all different ways! :-)

@XDaniellexsh I’m no expert, but I share your goals. For me the goal of mfp and logging food is to develop better intuition about what and how much to eat to stay in line with my goals. It’s a tricky balance and that good vs bad is a real trap. Definitely restricting followed by bingeing doesn’t work, been there before. So…

I got started late but I’m estimating: Me: 10 Lns: 15 Wanting to change this up! Hoping that the accountability and support here will help!

Good morning everyone and happy Saturday! Not sure what the weekend means under these weird circumstances... but I wanted to ask all of you if being home and quarantined (unless you are working out there instead of at home in which case I say thank you) has affected your eating habits. For me, it’s been confronting because…

I just got here... but I want to join. Will this challenge happen every month?
-
I have an Apple watch! I don’t know how to do the challenges though. How does it work?

This is a good question! I have struggled with this but here is my main why: To be fit and lean in my fifties. My body will inevitably deteriorate, but I will control what I can.

Hi folks... I’ve enjoyed reading the posts up to now and see that this is a supportive group. I’d like to join in, my stats are above. I had some success with noom last summer but the quarantine is a challenge to my habits and I could use some support. My big struggles are emotional eating and late night eating. My focus…

Yay Tanina! I have used BMI to set my goal weight. Congrats!

Me too! How do we go about it? I lost twenty pounds last summer through noom and gained a few back during the quarantine. I found having accountability partners to be really helpful. Chelsracer, I’m not sure that I understood all your abbreviations. SW:195 CW: 178 GW: 168
