Ha, so remember how I couldn't reach cardio a few days ago? Well the next day I hit cardio and a tiny peak, yesterday was mostly cardio and peak, and tonight was 86% peak😬 I felt fine during and right now after. Is this more of fitbit figuring me out?

Using this app and literally tracking everything so I'm accountable for every calorie and have to face what I eat. That's been the biggest thing thats kept me going and motivated so far (46 days). Sorry you're in a rutt. It's hard when our mind fights against us. Getting a fitbit has kept me motivated too

Ok, thanks, that's the info I was curious about. And just to clarify, I'm aware that weight fluctuates for a variety of reasons and have seen it first hand. I was just curious if the overall scale progress would start to look different now that I'm adding a new factor (exercise) into my routine. And it was up the last 3…

I think my fitbit is adjusting itself as I workout more because yesterday I hit cardio and peak and today I hit those for even longer periods of time. Regardless, I'm just happy to finally feel motivation to workout, have some time to myself, and feel like I'm accomplishing something each day. Thanks again everyone for…

Still holding out a little hope for a bit more…

Excellent, thanks for this tip! An easy way to gauge where I'm at!

Thanks for all these insightful and encouraging responses!! I feel a lot better about it all. I'm just new to using a fitbit and it was irritating to be doing a "cardio" workout but not seeing "cardio" on my watch. I'll definitely keep at it, as long as I'm sweating I'm considering it a win.
-
Ok 👌 I guess I just don't understand fitbit's gauge of what is/isn't cardio according to heart rate.

37% of what you ate for the day were fats, even if you didn't reach the daily recommended fat intake

Hey there! I also have a significant amount of weight I'm trying to lose. I started at 274lbs on June 15th and have lost 22lbs so far. My current goal is to get to 174lbs, but I'll hopefully continue losing after that. I have 2 boys, a 2 1/2 year old and a 5 month old. I work 3 days a week and meal prep has been my…

Following this thread as I've had 2 csections and will need some info once I start working out more regularly (currently just working on my food relationship as I get started with this lifestyle change)

Along the same vein as previous responses, my husband and kids have their own snacks, but I also make sure to have my own as well. Whether that means the zesty ranch veggie straws are for mom only or I make zucchini brownies and make them last the week. I try to have my own that are special and for me only. Sometimes I do…

Yes, Lakanto, it's awesome! Kinda pricey, but I think about what I'd spend on other sweets in the past and it's about the same, minus calories!

Not sure what you're trying to say here...

Good to know, thanks!!

The package says 1:1 replacement...?

Thanks!! I think I remember doing this in home-ec in HS with cake, but haven't ever tried cookies!
-
That's a good idea, thanks for the response! I'm new to using artificial sweeteners

Meal prep helps me save both time and money. But, yes, it is difficult at times to eat healthy on a budget.

Started at 274 mid June, currently at 253, looking to get to 174, possibly further once I reach that goal 🖤

I love ice water, but I do need to break up the monotony sometimes so I've been drinking Gatorade Zero, Propel Zero, or crystal light packets. On rare occasions I throw in a diet soda as a treat and even rarer a regular soda. I'm not much of a hot drink fan, so I don't have any tea or coffee ideas.

I enter everything in for my day either that morning or the night before so I can plan ahead and adjust as the day goes. It helps me to stay in my calorie deficit, so I try to enter everything. Plus it gives me a look at my nutrients I'm getting, which I like. I worry if I stop tracking some things that it'll form a bad…

This has been a really rough week with emotional eating happening. Time to get focused up again.

Thank you for responding, maintenance mode is a great idea. I feel like I can manage that and not feel guilty or like I'm back sliding. And just for more context, I know 1 day isn't a big deal, the pizza/brownie binge was just the pinnacle of the last 3-4 days. It's been a ramp up. But I now have some really good…

I'm 5 months PP, so I'm pretty much healed, but yes that would have been a concern early on. I'm on week 3 of weight loss so I definitely need more time to figure out my balance, it just was an alarming difference in "exercise " calories to eat back from using Pacer to using Fitbit. I have been staying in the 1700-1800…

Ok, thanks. Hopefully it'll level out as I wear it more? I don't eat back calories for the most part anyway right now, I'm just trying to find the spot where I lose weight but maintain supply for breastfeeding. But in the future that info would be useful. I was unsure how crazy it would be after exercising too.
