i find intermittent fasting makes the calorie deficit easier to attain. if you can successfully shorten that window of eating you at least get a chance to feel full and satiated on the limited calories you are allowed. if you are training on top of that this also allows you the "fuel-up" chance before and after your workout

Now. I'm not sure how old you are but building muscle and strength takes a long time and a lot of work. Its also metabolically more valuable than cardio alone...i say unless you are training for a marathon its worthwhile to get familiar with the weights sooner than later

Wow, this is a long running thread! Please add me...40 and been training regularly for years but started with the app again to try and see some new angles and get past a plateau...and make a smashing return since the gym reopened
