Hear hear! Wow can't believe it's December :o We've been in lockdown(s) for quite a long time (but has eased a bit as per today, shops are now back open) so you'd expect that this year would have dragged, but it has just flown by! I've been a proper yoyo this year as well. Went up about 10 kilos but thankfully I'm nearly…

I absolutely love walking. If anything, it's just lovely to get lots of fresh air and vitamin D, I really find it great for the mind. And getting those steps in is never wrong of course. That said, I do think 50 mins out and back to your work quite long, but if you enjoy it, why not. If it is out of obsession with burning…

Morning all, can't believe it's Monday again! Working from home today, and I have a doctors' apt later this morning to get bloods done. Blood pressure still too high, so I'll get a full check done. Will most likely require medication, meh! I see lots of new face here, how lovely - welcome!

Oh wow. Okay then. I apologise for giving you some well-meant advice.

Hi Lisa, you won't need to quite them completely, just make them fit! Log everything you eat and drink (weigh - don't guess) and you definitely will be able to fit in a snack and a glass of wine. Just not loooads of snacks and multiple glasses.

I shower daily, but they would be very quick 3 minute showers in the morning with a showercap on, as I only wash my hair every5-6 days or so. I find those quick showers quicker and easier than washing at the sink.

Aw @peewoddin1 you sound defeated. Don't be. I think what's key is, that you find something that you can do for the rest of your life. If Keto suits you, why not? If Southbeach suits you, go for it. But what people are trying to say is that it really doesn't matter what type of diet you do, as long as you're in a calorie…

Welcome back - I'm intrigued by your profile photo! I rejoined myself about 3 months ago and I'd forgotten how well simply logging food works! Hope you'll be successful in your journey too. I'll send you a FR :)

I agree with this - been guilty of it myself and actually went on the forum a few months ago as I was struggling to go to the toilet (sorry TMI). Incorporate fats such as nuts, avocado, olive oil. Yes they're relatively high in cals, but it helps me with satiety and I'm less likely to overeat, whereas once I start on the…

See, I really shouldn't be reading these things as Pavlov makes me drool!! Shark week this week and it's made me particularly hungry but thankfully other than the first day I've been able to keep it under control. Pie descriptions don't help though! Happy Thanksgiving to all my US friends!

I'm not actually sure what a cheat meal is? Is that where you go all out and don't log maybe? If that's the definition then I don't have them. Don't get me wrong I'm not exactly holier than thou, we had a take-away on Sunday, but I would make that fit in my daily allowance (or I might go over a bit at times, but nothing…

Wow looks fab @mtaratoot ! And welcome, @VegjoyP :)

Uuurgh that's SO typical. My childer prefer to trip over their schoolbags rather than to pick the bloody things up. We got 2 new kittens yesterday and eldest has them in her room, as that's the safest place where they cannot get themselves hurt or lost. Last night she actually texted me, yes texted, that one of the kittens…

Good morning everyone and Happy Monday if there is such a thing! @cgrout78 well are you all zennnn now? Today marks 100 days back on MFP for me, how time flies! Glad I made to decision to get back here, I've been fluting around for a few years with the covid pounds to top it up and I'm glad I took the reins back again.
-
Oh you lucky lucky woman @cgrout78 , enjoy every minute of it!
-
Happy Friiiiiday everyone! Hope it'll be a good day for everyone! Black coffee is the only way for me, never been into the latte/frappuccino/pumpkin spice/caramel coffees. Only exception may be a skinny cappuccino every now and then. Welcome to all the new faces here :)

HHD middle agers! But the saying goes, you're only as old as the person you feel (so get yourself a young one!) :D Bucketing raining here this morning, proper depressing. Can this year be over already? @forestfreek you're amazing, are you feeling deprived as well, or are you ok? @cgrout78 enjoy the peace and quiet,…

Fresh figs, absolutely adore them. Quite low cal as well, which is a bonus.

Happy Sunday middle agers! Sorry but no, no Christmas in this house until December. Mind you plenty of houses on our road have their decos up already, but I think it's insane. As much as I love Christmas, heck my eldest was born Christmas Day, but I can't stand the tree more than about 2 weeks. I've been known to take it…

Happy Hump Day sweetie pies! Hope this day will be good for you <3 Fairly boring week here, we're still on lockdown, but numbers dropping big time, think we had only 270 cases yesterday, so we're definitely going in the right direction again.

My cat prefers to be fat and lazy

Hahaha, it's a tv allergy for sure! I'm allergic for mine too, as husband here likes to watch it on volume 10, drives me absolutely bonkers. We're forever arguing over the volume button on that thing. Speaking of pets, in a roundabout way, we'll be getting a kitten soon! We lost a cat 2 months ago in a freak incident when…

At least we have Biden on our side, apparently he's Irish somewhere in his roots.

Morning middle agers! Can't believe it's Monday again, urgh why can't weekends be three days? All good here, hoping for a less manic time in work this week but at the moment it's full on. I work in logistics and our neighbours are really messing things up for us with Brexit, especially since we're the only country with an…

Oh god that was me all day today, I'm exhausted and it's not even 5pm yet!

Happy HHD everyone. Just waiting for the girls to get ready and then I'll drop them to school, yet another WFH day today for me. Ie another day in my trackies... Welcome new joiners, I'll send you some FRs!
-
Oh @AliNouveau I almost didn't recognise you with your new 'do! And welcome @Missmass4 and @Spartacus888 :)
-
Helloooo middle agers! Hope you're Monday is not too awful. Been lashing here all morning but sun's starting to creep out now. Very cold though. No show thankfully. @mtaratoot I went kayaking a few months ago with husband and the girls, it was our wedding anniversary outing. We couldn't really do much else as…

I usually do Dry January, but normally that's after a crazy December full of parties, so I'd be sick of drinking at that stage anyway. Doesn't look like there's going to be any parties this December though! I definitely cut down on my drinking since I rejoined MFP, I prefer to eat my calories. But I do make an exception…

We’re on lockdown and frankly I don’t even want mine to go trick or treating now, numbers are too high here still as well. I’ve made a few loot bags for the girls which they can eat tonight. It’s going to take a lot of my willpower to stay away from it myself.
