Thisa. I go for a walk every day, in fact I'm just about to go now. I love how it clears my head, how it gives me Vitamin D and yes it gives me some calorie burn as well but I can genuinely say that's not what I go walking for. If it's about calorie burn, I'd probably go for HIIT or spinning or something.

Don't overthink it, just look at the big number (and even then, don't worry too much). You have daily net calories (say 1400 calories) but you might burn another 300 in exercise, so for that day you can actually consume 1700 calories (as your calorie deficit is already built in before exercise). Some people "eat" their…

Happy Friday all, hope you'll have a great weekend ahead! Still on lockdown here, I sound like a broken record, but hoping for some decent weather so I can get some proper walks in.
-
That's incredible, well done!

I love alcohol, live in Ireland and (in normal times) everything happens in the pub. But I'm fairly sure I'll be able to give up alcohol more easily than sugar. I've done alcohol free Januarys for example, but right now people give up chocolates or sweets for lent, and I've never been able to do that. Suppose it's…

Moooorning and Happy Friday. Had a bit of a hiatus here, work-related, just couldn't find the time, but the water seems to be a bit calmer now, so I'm focusing back on me me me me me :D Have a great day all!

Yes, definitely harder in winter, I'd be craving more hearty comfort foods and it's harder to get out.

Running. Not even sure why, I can happily walk for hours, but running just bores me to death.

Happy Monday and Happy new month everyone! Hopefully our last month in lockdown. Highlight of my weekend was a walk to the supermarket. We can only stay within 5k from our house (unless you're going to - essential - work) so weekends are dragging a bit lately.

Feckin Brits are turning me into an alci. Brexit is causing me SO much grief (work in logistics). I just want to go home and drink wine. 5 more hours to go.... :(
-
Yup this 48 year old is with you, both on the you're not middle aged get outta here and very much on the old and grumpy part. Just had a row with one of our Directors here in work, fecker got me at the wrong time :/

Tsk! How dare they!! Bob don't be listening to that one!

This. 100%. Gaining awareness of the effects of some little chocolate biscuits versus a large plate of veg. I suppose I kinda knew already, but seeing it in numbers really opened my eyes.

Fantastic going @jwilliams9082 ! Preplanning and logging really is a game changer. Like you said, just the awareness is such a big thing. Happy Monday everyone! Absolutely baltic here in Ireland, car was frozen solid this morning. I'm in the office with a blower heater and a fleece on and I'm still freezing! I got myself…

myprotein.ie I'm in Ireland but it shipped from the UK (which I was annoyed about but thankfully I wasn't charged additional charges). I think it's nice, but a lot of reviews disagree with me, be aware ;)

So do I. But if I'm really honest, when I go off the rails, I don't usually close my diary as I don't really want to draw attention to it in my Newsfeed. When I have a very good healthy day I smugly showcase this by closing off the diary :p

I use the "lighter than light" mayonnaise and I think it tastes perfectly fine. Air fried chips and mayonnaise, to die for!

It's normal! Annoying but normal. Next week you may lose a bit more again and then you might not lose any for 3 weeks. I definitely think you should eat a bit more though, especially when you're exercising. You may not be able to keep these low calories up long term and just throw in the towel. But yet, as said, make sure…

You can do it. It's a two steps forward, one step back game for me, but that's okay.
-
Welcome back :)
-
Yes, that's exactly how I would define it.

Happy Monday middle agers :p Aww @mshawski don't be so hard on yourself, 50lbs is bloody amazing, it's just your brain hasn't caught up yet with the real you! For what it's worth, you look fab in your profile pic, not a turd to be seen!
-
Sounds like you're doing great Craig, hope the painkillers will kick in soon for you! WFH today and tomorrow, I'm just off a 3 hour con call and rest of the day shouldn't be too bad. Hoping to get a nice walk in later as we actually have blue skies here today. We haven't seen them in quite a while.
-
It's fine, I don't stress over these things. Not anymore anyway :)
-
Well I gave in and had 3 small chocolate bars, 300 cals.

Funny, I'm having one of those days right now. I'm in work and I'm holding on for dear life not to eat my lunch and my snack right now, if I do, the afternoon is going to be a looooong one. Think I'll just have another coffee now.
-
Enjoy your walk and the sun! Muggy day here, it's been grey and rainy for days now. I couldn't go out for a walk but I've done these "walk from home" YouTube videos a few times this week and it's surprisingly enjoyable. Happy Hump Day everyone! Not lunchtime yet, but I'm feeling hungry this morning, I'll try to hold out…

0.2lbs is nothing, my poops would be bigger than that. Seriously, don't stress.
-
Welcome newbies, great to see lots of new faces. Best of luck on MFP, it's really quite easy, just log everything you eat and drink as best as you can (food scales are a must) and try to add a bit of exercise, a walk is fine! Feel free to send me a friend request :) And now....coffee!

To be honest I kinda feel sorry for the guy, sounds like he had some kind of breakdown.
