  • Archery, camping, hiking, Dancing....get yourself a Wii or a VR headset and do some virtual boxing, do some actual boxing with a heavy bag, go for a walk, volunteer, etc Honestly you can look up any NEAT (Non Exercise Activity Thermogenesis) to see how you can burn calories by not exercising. Essentially...avoid sitting.
  • NSV - two month update: (cross posted on my feed) Well...Partial Scale victory I guess. This year has been crazy for pretty much everyone. While at the beginning of it in March was all comfort food and day drinking; I recently decided to use this time I was given as a means to change. Not just eating and exercise. I quit…
  • Stick with .5 lbs. If 2 lb per week is causing you to binge then it's having the opposite intended effect. If you increase exercise then your deficit will be greater even with more calories consumed.

  • Hey, 76 days is just a shade under 11 weeks. At 2 lbs per week, that's still really close to your goal and a sustainable and healthy amount. To reach it, you need a deficit of 1000 k/cal per day. Whether its less food or more food and more exercise. I know you can absolutely nail it. Yes, crash dieting before a wedding…
  • Gary, I applaud your dedication to this new journey you're on. However I fear this may not be the healthiest route, nor a sustainable one. I'm on my own 100+ lb weight loss journey and I couldn't fathom trying to complete it in 6 months. I even quit chewing and cut back on drinking like you plan to. Its not easy, trust me.…
  • Looking to drop ~100 lbs myself. 20 lbs down so far from my heaviest, but only 2 since starting MFP. Not too concerned about that since it hasn't even been a week. I'm really excited to get back under the big 3 number soon. Can't wait to see everyone's progress here! Good luck everyone. Stay healthy, stay strong.
  • Daniel, NJ. Looking to have friends on the app to have a phantom audience so I can feel accountable to someone other than myself. Looking forward to going on this journey with everyone. Stay safe, stay strong.
  • Will add you! Anyone can add me as well. Can always use more people to help keep me honest and on track.
