I don't do gym because of my working hours days and nights so I cycle to work, walk a lot, throw around dumbbells at home. All works for me

Don't over complicate it......a TDEE calculator online will tell you how many calories you burn just by being awake, then try and eat a healthy balanced diet 500 calories less than your TDEE.....calories in Vs calories out. All exercise you do is a bonus. Strength training gives you an after burn. Good luck with it all
