I love the idea of this thread. ❤️ I've been eating 1720 calories a day and exercising 4-6x a week for nearly 3 months now. I've lost 16 lbs and a pants size. Weight loss is slowing down as I'm approaching goal. I'm 139.6 lbs now and tentative goal weight is 135. I'm 5'7" for reference. Things I love about what I'm doing:…

You basically kick@ss for posting this. I think it's so helpful. And heck yes to embracing both and sharing the realness.

Did a new 30 minute workout video because 2 very supportive mfp'ers goaded me into it. A friend of mine, who I have not seen in many years but who I still consider one of my best friends, sent me a gift. We had a discussion about books and he said these two books were life changing for him. I'm looking forward to reading…

Done. They were on the knees because I'm a weakling, but I went all the way down! Next: 20 skaters

Thanks you guys! Just what I need. I just put on my clothes and I'm having half a cup of coffee. I'm also going to do the last thing in the challenge thread. You are the best!

Reading a book for a few minutes at a time. Sitting on my tuffet in my too-warm place in a heat coma, feeling lazy and lethargic but also needing to get in a light workout. I need someone to yell at me about this workout.

Automatic coffee machines. The pleasure that I get from waking up to a huge, piping hot pot of coffee can't be compared with any other modem household conveniences.

Give me 2 months.

Selfish. In any way. Especially in that way. #1 signal to run for the hills and trample anyone who gets in your way. ETA: that was pretty selfish. I meant run, and don't look back.

For @ReenieHJ I looked at sound machines, light boxes, and supplements but I wanted to give you a more luxurious, self-care experience.

Probably too much to expound on here, since the topic skates on discussing religion/spirituality. Thanks for asking.

I love this look! ❤️ Super pretty. That lipstick color is gorgeous on you and the bold eyeliner really makes your eyes pop! If you did this in 5 minutes your application skills are evolving rapidly.

I take life very seriously. Which is actually pretty counterintuitive because I don't believe we only get one shot at it. Most people will experience some kind of heartbreak and devastation in a lifetime, the effects of which can last for years. Some people suffer for ages physically or mentally through no fault of their…

That is the girthiest tree I've ever seen! It looks great!

I haven't played video games in about 6 years, but not for lack of desire. I moved out of my roommate's house and he had the Xbox. I played for years, though. My favorite was Mass Effect. Halo was okay. I liked Skyrim and Assassin's Creed. Coolest game I ever played was Silent Hill 2. Played through the night for days,…

I'm just here to applaud the above two specimens. Excellent work, and inspiring! I don't know how to make a gif. Mine would be of me dancing badly or tripping over my aerobic stepper.

Good for you for taking things slow this time. Most of the wisdom I've found on this site and other sources of information point to slow weight loss being the key to lasting success. As for the scale, I had the same questions when I first came here and started eating a lower calorie diet. You will find threads in debate…

That's very kind of you to have these sympathetic feelings towards him. However, it sounds like he has really messed up and has a lot of repairing to do. Maybe he'll learn a lesson from this and make himself a better dad. Shows how capable you are of forgiveness. Your kids feelings are more important, though.

This is *kitten* awesome. Good for you.

Thanks @ReenieHJ! @Sailor555 thank you. I'm so glad the photos are instructive. I encourage you to document your progress. It is so satisfying to see the photos side by side and they do so much to keep me on target. @elfin168 thanks! 6 years of ballet when I was a teenager built my calves and they've stuck with me all my…

This sounds great! I didn't know this existed. I'm going to get this. Thanks for posting!

This was a great glutes and legs workout. Hard, but not too hard. Of course, she was using 25 lb dumbbells and mine were 2! https://youtu.be/It17H7RDG9g

Did my weekly weigh-in and reached a mini goal, under 140 lbs. Took progress photos. Ordered thoughtfully selected birthday gifts for 2 friends. Did a 30 minute glutes workout by Sydney Cummings because said photos revealed that baby don't got back.

Good job on refraining from mindless snacking! 👏

Update: I killed it. Thanks to you guys. As soon as I saw your posts I was like, oh *kitten* better chug this coffee and put on the shoes. I'm a sheep like that. Now I'm a puddle of sweat and endorphins.
-
Well *kitten* now I have to do it.

Digesting a banana and drinking coffee too late in the day, in an effort to get a burst of energy for this impending workout. Basically repeating yesterday's mistakes.

I don't know, this actually sounds like a great business idea. Maybe you subliminally saw an ad for VS and subconsciously thought that their product was sorely lacking in quality materials. Maybe it's inspiration from the divine that you can do better. I would let this one sit on the burner for a bit. Even if you don't…

I'm putting in an update since I've lost almost another 5 lbs and dropped below 140. Very subtle changes with these 5 lbs. Not much is noticeable from the front. Maybe a little more definition in the collarbone, and I decided it's pointless to cover up my chest this time because I'm certainly not in danger of showing too…

LOL, Thanks Reenie. It never occurred to me that sitting on my patio with no pants might bring me more luck than a dating app.
