Yep. 80 lbs. Somedays WAY over on carbs. My only real target is 'eat enough protein'. Fat and carbs shake out as they will.

2 scrambled eggs, 1/3 cup of colby jack, 2 tbs of salsa, and 2 carbcounter tortillas. So. Tacos, basically.

Facebook memories, man. 6 years ago Yesterday. I DON"T EVEN LOOK LIKE THE SAME PERSON.

I think a lot of the reason I can 'get away with' not only not pre-logging but only loosely logging (or not logging) is the same reason I got away without ever using a kitchen scale while I was in loss: the primary majority of my weight gain and obesity was down to habitual additions of really high calorie things. I added…

I literally don't even plan MEALS before I am walking into the kitchen. Logging them in advance is completely above my ability to manage. I prelog my coffee though so at LEAST my streak is maintained and I remember MFP exists.

I could and would in no way use my family for judgement of what I should weigh - they'd prefer me about 40 lbs heavier than I am, I think, and societal expectations/what I'm used to seeing would still be a good 20lbs heavier. I'm using body markers mostly. I still have some abdominal fat and, yeah, it'd be nice to see that…

I'm in maintenance now, but the principal I used in loss is the same thing I do now: Nothing. I expect to 'fall off' the wagon sometimes. I expect to go out to eat and have a 3,000 calorie meal. I expect to go to thanksgiving and eat all the things. I expect to, once in a while, grab fast food on a road trip or go on…

It's sort of a mental flow chart  Am I actually hungry, or is this a craving? If its actually hunger, why that specific thing? For me, its usually that it's easy and there. So what else is easy, there and that will provide solid nutrition? If its a craving, how strong is the craving? Can I put it off? Have I already…

Pretty much, exactly the same story all around. My initial goalweight was just 'inside the healthy BMI' but that was clearly too heavy so I chose a new goal that was my weight around my wedding. Whether because of less elastic skin, different body composition, something else or all of the factors, it just is not right for…

I am actually finding the longer I maintain (and I'm not that far in) the more true the appetite adjustment is. I seem to have well and truly broken the habit of eating for assorted psychological reasons. Yeah, I still occasionally go overboard, but my weight hasn't fluctuated more than about 3 pounds in either direction…

MFP starting weight (August 2020): 190 May start weight: 124 GW: My pants continuing to fit (Ie: I weigh in to keep an eye on things but I am basically at goal/maintenance at 123 give or take a couple of pounds) May 6: 124 May 13 - 123 I think I'm going to have to actually *gain* a few pounds. This is weird for me to say…

Let go of accountability as your 'fix' and start looking toward flexibility. A bad meal, day, or week isn't going to sink you. If, however, you decide you messed up and it's over -- you're sunk. Those times are always going to happen. Figure out better options for those as you can (cottage cheese and greek yogurt + fruit,…

I can 'gain' seven pounds of weight (not fat) in 12 hours if I eat a lot of carbs and sodium and work out hard. I would not stress this.

My life is chaos, and I am late to the game this time, but y'all are still home. MFP starting weight (August 2020): 190 May start weight: 124 GW: My pants continuing to fit (Ie: I weigh in to keep an eye on things but I am basically at goal/maintenance at 123 give or take a couple of pounds) I basically didn't track my…

Like Ann my biggest hangup is mostly about being athletic. Feels fake. Run 25 miles a week, hike 10, do recreational sports, but nope. I just can't wrap my head around being any kind of athletic. The biggest help for me was dog sports -- because I can and do identify as a dog trainer, so the sporty side of dog training is…

For me travel is a thing I associate with... being an extended EVENT I guess, not just life in a new place. So if I'm traveling it gets classed as 'a special occasion' with my head and I eat accordingly. Also I've been at an agility trial 6 out of the past 14 days. Everything I have hurts, I have eaten more sugar than I…

I empathize, but at the same time some time in maintenance has taught me that maintenance isn't... static? For me, anyway. For me it's kind of a slow rolling repeated gain/loss cycle. Forget my hormones and the changes brought about by those. Actual LIFE isn't static and so seasonally, at least, if not weekly or monthly my…

44 5'5" CW: 122 GW: My pants continuing to fit. 4-4: 122 4-11: 122 4-17: 123 4-26: 124 This is going to go up again at least once more - we've had two three day trial weekends and my sodium intake/hydration levels are insane. It should come down after that but I won't be surprised if my May weigh in looks something like…

I got organically more active as I dripped weight. The result of that is that, weirdly, I eat about 100 calories a day MORE now than when I started. About 2500 calorows/day. I think my lowest even losing was 1500. I run about 20 miles/week, hike another 10. Do about 90 minutes a week of weight stuff. And do some…

The fact of the matter is that I pretty fully believe that all or nothing thinking - stay within a narrow calorie range forever, or you're obese, for example - is a set up for failure. I don't *binge* and I don't cheat. But life happens. I live in a culture where food is a major part of socializing, bonding, and…

Looking at me this weekend says that eating roughly 4000 calories above maintenance resulted in me weighing 2lbs heavier the evening of the overage and 1lb LIGHTER THAN I STARTED 24 hours later. I lost 80ish lbs and have been in maintenance 6 months and my consistent pattern of eating out once a month, not caring sticking…

Exactly what my experience and thoughts are, honestly. I've only been maintaining for 6 months - but it takes a LOT to get me out of that 123-125 range in *either* direction. So the range I maintain in isn't even wide (to my surprise). Some of it is undoubtedly that I have reached a lifestyle balance/set of habits that…

I never really had 'shame' about my body and weight loss was never a hobby for me. Meaning that it wasn't an obsession or a passion or a 'project' I was going to 'complete'. I logged my food, kept within some kind of calorie deficit most of the time, and bought new clothes when my old ones got too big. That's still more or…

I think fear of eating out/losing control of calories is one of those things that you kind of need to (carefully, for your own mental health and so as not to throw in the towel) do to move past. And I do think it's worth moving past, if eating out (or holidays or family dinners or what have you) are an occasionally but…

Tortillas and, even more so, oil. Each tortilla in those places is often huge and probably somewhere in the 150-200 calorie range. peppers and onions aren't terrible but the oil that comes WITH the meat (steak or chicken) and UP YOU GO. Add in traditional sides that often come along - rice, refried beans (usually made with…

Yes. I'm the dog. Clearly.

I wear a modern 2 or 4, depending on brand and where the waist hits. 5'5", weigh right around 120, 27" waist. Vintage jeans? 8.

As an update I'm sitting at 120-125 now and have toned up/tightened up/evened out over the past little bit and yeah. My dress size is still mostly a medium still because of breasts but my pants size is about a 2. Weirdness. (Same waist size (27) that had me in an 8 30 years ago though)

Easter isn't a holiday we really celebrate but for the ones we do? We don't sweat it. I track some really large number of calories and move on. Worked fine while I lost 70ish lbs, works fine maintaining. I don't stay within my calories all the time. Holidays happen. Eating out with people as an event happens. It mostly…
