  • @p8m6bwghh9 Thanks for sharing! Dance workouts are pretty fun, though I often struggle to keep up. I am happy with walking for my cardio for now. It is strength training I want to add to my routine more. I would love to not bother with it at all, but it is really good for fat loss and I want to reduce the chance of loose…
  • @Zaxa2021 I did look at youtube but I can't find anything I want to try. Honestly though, I don't like working out and sweating in general, lol. A lot of it doesn't seem beginner friendly at all, even if they claim it is. I think I am going back to the gym as well in a few months. I know I said before that it is too…
  • @p8m6bwghh9 Good idea walking by BPM! I like when it works out that way (for me with Hozier / Too sweet) but I didn't pick songs like that on purpose. I mostly put in songs that are cheerful and that I like to sing along with. Though that is easier said than done when I am out of breath from walking. Love the aurora…
  • Good morning Shape Shifters. A stormy day here, so only one walk for mister Tinus. He was happy to be annoying and on my lap the whole day though. I got my gym rings done with a lot of effort. I don't really like using them anymore, but I am also not sure what other easily accessible strength training I can do. So for now…
  • Pupowl Wednesday weigh in PW: 210.6 CW: 218.9 That's what pigging out for two weeks looks like. Good job me! :|
  • Yesterday was not very interesting. I played my horse game, watched some Lucifer and had lots of tea with laptime for Tinus. I am glad he doesn't care about the fireworks, so we still got a couple of walks in. I really dislike fireworks and I looked online at some vacation houses for next year, but it is so expensive that…
  • Good morning Shape Shifters. Wishing you all a happy & healthy 2025! <3
  • Hello Shape Shifters. Yesterday morning I started with a walk inside on the pad. I have the speed at 5 or 5.5 km an hour which I think is pretty good. I wanted to get 4 kilometers done and it took me 47 minutes. I used to watch a show or movie while walking, but I actually prefer having some upbeat music. It feels faster…
  • I got picked up by my mom and her uncle yesterday morning. They are both on vacation nearby though they are in two different parks. We went to the house of my mom and her partner first where we ate an oliebol (a Dutch new year thing, a fried dough ball basically) and we opened the presents. I thought everyone knew we were…
  • Hello Shape Shifters. Time for another intro! My name is Laura, I am 36 and I live with my cat Tinus in a small village in the Netherlands. I live close to a national park which is awesome for walks, though I recently got a walking pad which I have been using a lot instead. I also enjoy taking photographs of nature (birds…
  • Hello Shape Shifters and welcome to @mariamijaz110 ! I hope you are all doing well. I am one of the captains of the team together with Jessica. We take care of all the data such as your weigh ins and the steps. If you have any questions, let us know! I joined this team in August 2021 and I have found it a very valuable…
  • @lauren_989 Please move p8m6bwghh9 from the Shape Shifters to the goal zone. Her range is 122 - 128 and she will keep weighing in on Wednesday. Thanks!
  • @p8m6bwghh9 That is awesome, congrats! <3 I hope you will be succesful with maintaining, which I think is harder than losing weight.
  • @p8m6bwghh9 The goal zone is for people who are done losing weight. Just wanted to double check if that is what you mean. If so, please let us know the weight range you plan to maintain at. For the goal group, you still weigh in. If you want a break from weighing in, then we can move you to support.
  • Happy Christmas to all of you! I hope you will have a lovely day. <3
  • @sunshinezombiegirl1 Yeah, that's not fun! There is always something you can learn though. Weight loss isn't easy and for almost nobody it is a straight line down. I am currently on attempt number 4. Maybe you can use the last bit of the year to figure out if there are any small changes you can make to start January fresh.…
  • @sunshinezombiegirl1 So to hear you are frustrated. But I also believe you went on vacation and you have been sick. Give yourself some grace! Is there anything we can do to help you?
  • Shape Shifters, I know this time of year it is hard to resist all the food temptations and navigate the social events. I just wanted to say I am proud of everyone who is managing to keep losing weight, but I am also proud of everyone who reports a gain. It is not easy to keep showing up when things are not going as well as…
  • Missing weigh ins for this week, please check in asap! @Cyncia85 @cre804 @bearchested
  • @Krysless2 Missing your steps for the 14th. @angmarie28 I recently went from Fitbit to a different watch and also noticed less steps in some situations. I think Fitbit is just a lot more sensitive/generous and your Garmin is likely more accurate. Hope you feel better soon.
  • Pupowl Wednesday weigh in PW: 208.9 CW: 210.6 I kind of don't care at the moment. This close to the new year, I just keep thinking "I can start fresh in January". But I don't want to overeat the last two weeks of 2024 so I will keep trying.
  • @lauren_989 Please move the weigh in day for jessicakrall8 from the Shape Shifters to Sunday, thank you.
  • @jessicakrall8 That sounds like an ordeal! I am glad it wasn't blood clots, but do you know what it was? Or when it will go away? I hope the pain is getting less at least. I would be careful with the meds. Usually if you aren't allowed to drive with it, there is a warning on the box and I would also assume they would tell…
  • Here is a video I enjoyed. https://youtu.be/3WCpDA-qix4?si=0F1Q4oFPM8x5VbOZ
  • @Zaxa2021 Sorry to hear that! I hope you can find better answers in the future. I feel like we still have a lot to learn about human bodies. @PatriceFitnessPal Thanks for the link! That's the thread I also found, but I thought there was a bigger one. There aren't very many replies there.
  • Catching up on some posts, sorry for my slow replies. @p8m6bwghh9 Oh, I wish Tinus was that adventurous! I do have a backpack like that in case of emergencies, but thankfully haven't needed to use it yet. Tinus just wears a cute harness and is on a lead outside and when we go to the vet, he is in his pet stroller. He is…
  • @DaffyGirl88 Sweet of you to ask! I am doing alright; feeling a little better. I got my walking pad today and just set it up and made sure it is working. Will test it out this evening since I still need a bunch of steps anyway. Exciting!
  • @Zaxa2021 Sorry to hear you also struggle with being lonely sometimes. I agree that the winter time isn't helping for me either. I am sure your babies are taking up a lot of your time and energy. I hope when they are a bit older, you can find something for yourself to enjoy. I think it is a lot harder to make friends as an…
  • @DaffyGirl88 Thank you for your nice reply! It did help to write it out, though I sometimes struggle with posting because I assume people won't care or don't want to read it all. I also try not to share too much personal stuff because once it is online, it is staying online! I think a lot of people got quite the wake up…
  • My post wasn't very happy, so here is a picture of Tinus from yesterday to make up for it.
