When I went from a high carb woe to a low carb woe I lost about 7lbs in the course of two-ish weeks, mostly from water retention and then having more regular bms. 14lbs in a few days is a bit concerning, are you tracking your calorie intake to make sure you're eating enough? Also, if you've added more intense exercise you…

If you're in maintenance you don't want a calorie deficit, that would create further weight loss.

I don't usually eat in the morning, coffee with HWC keeps me till around 11am.

This is great advice OP-there's nothing wrong with trying different things, but always be doing something to help you stay focused. If something isn't working for you/is making things too challenging, then move onto something else!

My personal experience-it depends. I've been doing a very low carb woe for a while now and my sugar intake is pretty close to zero, (regardless of added or natural). My macros split is high fat, moderate protein, almost zero carb. 'Larger' quantities of fat lines up with my woe/goals. If I was to continue to eat a high fat…

No, but I didn't track calories during my active weight loss phase either. I did and continue to do other things that keeps my calories in check though. The big thing is to be intentional and set parameters into place so you keep on track. That may include counting calories or it may not. But, I think there's very few…

I've been maintaining within a few pounds since 2012, using different IF protocols and then playing around with different ways of eating. 8 years isn't that long in the scheme of things, considering I've got many years ahead of me. But, I have maintained longer than anyone I know in real life and have avoided the typical…

I've probably watched them all by this point and no, they haven't influenced me one way or the other. I've experimented with all sorts of different ways of eating and have settled on a way that works well for me. Going by energy levels, ease of weight management, blood work panels, health check ups etc. No harm in giving…

Maybe, maybe not. Considering that many here have rebounded and regained weight, regardless of what methods they've done, I don't know that OPs plan is any more likely to fail than a different one. OP, for my weight loss phase back in 2012 I did alternate day IF and it worked well for me. Since then I've been maintaining…

I've been following a mostly animal based diet for a couple years now and eggs are a staple for me. My cholesterol numbers are excellent and my heart disease risk ratio is very low. I've had numerous conversations with my doctor about my 'unique' way of eating and she's very supportive of it, based on my numbers/health…

Yep, over the years I've experimented with just about every way of eating, from WFPB to carnivore, and it really does come down to calories for weight management.
