I wont say its hunger for me, but mindless appetite probably, but yeah it hits hard at night for me so i'm just trying to save calories for then. I'm least hungry in the morning (probably because I eat at night lol) so I push back my first meal till usually 4-6 hours after I wake up.

That seems as accurate as you can get. Unfortunately prepackaged food can have a variance of +/- 20% in calories. I suppose you could weigh whats in the box first and compare it to the calories per weight on the box first. That will probably get you a more accurate estimate, but you'll have to do it like that every time…

I'm not at goal, but as someone with type 2 diabetes (diagnosed at 12, currently 35) when I lost weight my blood sugar normalized. Treats arnt really an issue, it's over eating it that causes the issue. The important thing to remember is that with diabetes it's carbs, not just sugar. I couldn't drink milk or juice either…
