  • @cupcakesandproteinshakes I do believe I am doing something similar, with a bit of a twist. My own little experiment! I have had a 10 week diet and instead of a short diet break at maintenance, I am increasing my calories gradually until I get to maintenance. I have decided that I will increase my calories by approximately…
  • Yes you are indeed correct. I was just thinking this might be difficult for someone who has been eating at 700 calories and doing a lot of cardio and maybe a diet break was due.
  • @RyotaFujikawa As you are at a normal weight and in a deficit your body won't prioritize building muscle. If you increase your calories to maintenance then you probably will see a more toned look emerge. I suggest you start doing some resistance training, cut down on cardio and increase protein intake. This will more…
  • @cmriverside I am now reading through the Refeed thread and the many articles, threads and videos that are linked. I feel happy with what I have decided to do but can see that I need to make a few changes along the way. One podcast that I found informative was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLcjhm4-CSg, which I found via…
  • @sijomial That makes a lot of sense. Thanks.
  • @cmriverside Thank you so much. I will have a look.
  • I read many articles and watched a few videos before deciding to do this. Some of the people I have listened to are Dr. Eric Trexler, Dr. Layne Norton, and Lyle McDonald. :
  • I am 51. I do 2 hours of exercise 6 days a week. I use resistance bands, do some skipping, dancing, ashtanga yoga and walking. My TDEE has been given as 2,300 on MYP and up to 2600 using other calculators as I put my activity level as very active. I don't add back my exercise calories. My BMR has been given as around 1400…
  • I started eating around 1700 calories daily in November and by the beginning of February I had brought it down to 1400 calories. In that time I lost around 10lbs. Two weeks ago after learning about metabolic adaptation I decided to up my calories. I have increased my calories to 1800 for 2 weeks and this week my calories…
  • @prehistoricmoongoddess How tall are you? I am 5 ft 1.
  • I started eating about 1700 calories a day in December and 2 weeks ago was down to 1400 a day. • Hi, I am obese and I started using these videos to help me start doing yoga again. https://www.youtube.com/c/DianneBondyYoga/videos Dianne is a larger lady also and that helped me a lot, just seeing that she could do moves which I would have thought were not available to me. I started in July and then joined MFP in…
  • @goal06082021 That's sounds great! Did you do a reset? Spirit
  • Hi, I live in Cumbria and would like to join your weigh in on Wednesdays. I've been calorie counting for about 10 weeks now and have lost 9 or so lbs. However I have just started on the Eat more 2 Weigh less journey. A bit scared but there are lots of success stories so will see how it works for me. Is your goal still…
