  • I had a similar experience with COVID. I just went on a little break until I re-hydrated and got back to roughly where I was before (weight and exercise ability). Still ate nutritiously just more of it.
  • I started with reducing carbs dramatically (Max 30 net. Carbs minus fiber minus sugar alcohols). Took my A1c from 9.2 to 5.7 in six months. Two weeks after reducing carbs my hypertension went away and over the six month period many of my skin allergies as well as a nagging cough disappeared too. After getting the blood…
  • I guess I just don’t get what all the fuss is about. According to the CDC, vaccinated individuals can pass on the same viral load as unvaccinated so it seems like the end result is the same where ever there are groups of people, vaccinated or unvaccinated. If you are vaccinated, the risk seems to be the same. Less chance…
  • I try to limit my total carbs to <125g and my net carbs (carbs - fiber -sugar alcohols) to <50 per day. This corrected my blood sugar (and high blood pressure) very quickly. No diabetic meds and off BP meds in under 2 weeks just through change in diet. Then I focused on losing weight over the next several years which only…
  • If you are shooting or maintenance, the chart above works!
  • Congrats on your successful journey so far! If this WOE is working for you fantastic! I have done a few 7 day fast over the last 3 years and I have had a similar experiences to yours. To your point many don't understand the skeletal muscle needed to carry really heavy weight. (grab 2- 50lb weights and carry those all day).…
  • Just my experience on the low carb rise - i make a loaf using lupin flour as a base (1:1 on carbs vs fiber). I have had better luck just baking after the initial rise vs the punch down and second rise. Best of luck bakers...
  • @JohnBarth. Here’s a pancake saver... 1 scoop Quest Cinnamon crunch protein powder/ 2 tbs coconut powder/ 1/2 tsp baking powder/ 1tbs butter(melted)/ 1 egg/dash of vanilla extract/ sweetener of your choice (I use 4 drops of liquid sucralose)/ add milk to the consistency you like (I use cashew milk) mix it all up and use as…
  • If you want to fast, fast. Ultimately you need to do what works for you. I have fasted for a week each January for the last three years and I find during the week of fasting, I am alert and still able to lift 4 days a week and cardio box the other two. Try an extended one and see how it goes. The human body is amazing and…
  • Yup. That big red circle is me. No worries. I have plateaued before and probably will in the future. The body isn’t linear nor is it a closed system. I will be patient...

  • Forgot to mention my high blood pressure also resolved itself in the first month of lower carb intake.

  • Thanks everyone for the response and input. I just needed some reassurance. I am 54 and spent the last three years losing weight from 295 to my current 207. I guess I will just stay the course to finish off the last 30 over the next 18 months.
  • I was diagnosed three years ago. I’m 54 now. MY A1C was 9.2 and blood sugar was 322. I kind of knew it was coming because of my junk food diet and sugar consumption. The doctor offered me metformin but I opted to do some research and see what I could do on my own. After many hours researching, watching You Tube channels…
