  • In the month I’ve been taking it, I’ve gone from 269 to 263.3, which seems to me to be healthy progress. Moreover I’ve felt good, energetic and motivated.

  • Forgive me for bragging in a vacuum, but I’m about to burst with excitement and nobody else is at home. This morning I hit my first 10 pound milestone for this reiteration of my weight loss journey, which began in January. 10 down and 62 to go before I leave the 200’s, but I’m very excited for progress
  • Excited to see fairly steady progress
  • Good morning everyone! I read through all of the replies, but I don’t know y’all well yet, so I won’t reply individually here. I hope y’all have a wonderful Sunday. It’s going to be 70° here, and I’m looking forward to going for a walk with my husband and her dog. Going to put some time into cleaning the house today,…
  • two thoughts occur to me. Are you drinking enough water during the school day? If you are coming home dehydrated, your body might misread that as being hungrier. Also, my doctor suggested that if I wanted to lose, I should set my calories no higher than 1500 cal per day. Maybe bumping yours a little lower would shake…
  • I’m frustrated! How do I add y’all as friends? When I click on folks’ names it takes me to their profile, which says private. How do I invite people as friends?

  • Thank you for that feedback. And as a therapist, I’ve said it myself that motivation is overrated. We make good choices and act on them, whether or not we feel motivated at the time. I am hoping that I can overcome the poor choices though. The ones that draw me to spend all evening on the couch watching tv with a bag of…

  • Hi Kristen! Great to meet you. 10 pounds is an ambitious goal, but with hard work you can get there. I would be thrilled to be down another seven or eight this month. Please feel free to add me to your friends, and I will encourage you.
  • I saw the doctor today for a routine follow-up appointment. She was pleased that my weight was down 7 pounds from last month. I am officially pre-diabetic, so we discussed medications to help me with weight management. She said most insurance companies won't approve Ozempic unless you are diabetic, which would have been…

  • Tiny NSV today. I took the dog for a walk, and didn’t get winded or experience muscle pain, which I did walking the same route less than 2 weeks (and 5#) ago. Progress!!
  • Sounds really fun! I Think Valentine’s Day is a perfect time to begin an investment in your own heart and health.
  • Made something new and yummy tonight , and I am pleased with myself. Diced little red potatoes, red onions , mushrooms and zucchini and tossed them in olive oil and a little garlic Parmesan sauce before roasting in the air fryer. I’ll be making this again!
  • I don’t mind the work out videos. Last week I went for a walk with the dog, and before I got home, my back was giving me such pain I thought I wasn’t going to make it back, so I thought perhaps I need to get in shape a little bit before I venture out. When I can handle walking a little bit better, I will definitely walk…
  • After whining here this morning, I stepped on the scale and found I'd dropped another 0.9pounds for this week, down 5 pounds since re-starting in January. So I guess I am making progress after all. :)
  • I am back at this, after regaining a lot of the pounds I lost a few years ago. Logging every bite I eat is a huge part of it but I also know that I have become way too sedentary. At this point, I am happy to have any kind of intentional movement 3 times a week, and logging my nutritional intake with a goal of staying below…
  • I’m not going to offer any suggestions, because with the kind of Success you have already had, you already know all of the things. Take a big breath, drink a glass of water, and be nice to yourself today. You’ve got this! You’re in a marathon, not a sprint.
  • I am huffing and puffing after working out with a video on TV for a grand total of eight minutes. My husband walked the dog around the block earlier this morning, and our step count is equivalent. I have been logging every bite for the last week, and although I have felt deprived every single day, the scale hasn’t changed…
  • I’m having a hard time following the conversation here. It’s just one big thread? And how do you/we reply to previous people?
  • I'm hoping to add more friends, for accountability and encouragement. I know this is a marathon, rather than a sprint, and I need all the backing I can get. Please feel free to add.
  • Starting weight this time is 275.8 January 1. As of Feb 7 I'm down to 271.9, so that is progress.
  • So glad I found this post! I'm 55 and currently 272#, nearly my all-time high weight, and I hate it. I've been back to logging and making a real effort, hoping to avoid becoming diabetic. My family is discussing a trip to Orlando next year (summer '25) and I want to sit comfortably on the airplane and in the amusement park…
  • I'm curious why you have foresworn bread entirely. If you miss it, why not allow yourself a slice of whole grain bread in your meal plan? I feel the same way about milk. I can guzzle the stuff! But it isn't evil, I just need to learn to use moderation, and follow a plan.
