  • I am fighting to get back on the wagon. Spent some time with the dietitian this week and found that I’m not eating enough carbs at breakfast and lunch. So while it almost terrifies me, I just had 31g this morning by adding a half bagel to avocado and protein coffee. I’m stalled at 50lbs down since my T2 diagnosis last…
  • SW: 325 CW: 303.8 GW: 298 for July LTGW: 190 Weigh-ins Mondays 7/5. 304 7/12 304 7/21 299.3 7/26 7/31 Total for July: I had gotten off kilter too, with a couple of weeks bouncing up and down. However I kept going, even though not perfectly. Finally on Monday, it seemed to stabilize. I officially hit 25 lbs lost. 🎉🎉🎉 So…
  • I think we could all use these reminders. It resonated with me today.
  • I think that’s a great idea. The dietitian might recognize something that we are blind to. I’m really irritated with my stubborn scale, but I suspect that I’m rounding down on my record keeping. Maybe there will be a whoosh now that I’m back into my work routine? This week I’ve decided that I’m continuing on so that I…
  • The last week has been frustrating. But I still know I’m doing better than before so will keep going. I think I’ve been pushing the envelope with a lot of my choices, and suspect it’s under counting the fat & calories. I know I’ve been more active even though I’m not recording it.

  • Hi everyone! Going to try to move more to offset “treats” that pop up on the weekends. It’s a beautiful day in the Midwest so I need to go outside and do something!
  • SW: 325 CW: 303.8 GW: 298 for July LTGW: 190 Weigh-ins Tuesday’s 7/5 7/12 7/19 7/26 7/31 Total for July: I’m going for a smaller goal. While we are on vacation, I’m considering switch my target to maintain. I have a very sedentary job, so it’s possible that just not sitting like a veal all day will even out with vacation…

  • @StacieBugPrude Keep going!
  • 250’s for the first time since 2009 is a huge accomplishment. It’s really encouraging as seeing some old paperwork made me realize how long I’ve been this size. That’s a great idea about restaurants. At this point I don’t think I’d be able to handle a very strict IF. I have had low days in Calories which I feels build a…

  • @Skittles2183 I’m in a funk too. It was all fun and games at first losing tons of water weight. But I hit the wall, and the negative self talk is getting louder. I’ve gone a week without a loss, and I was grumpily coming here to record my stats. But I’m going to keep going. At least not quit yet. No matter what I KNOW that…
  • @ashleycarole86 I’m considering doing the same during vacation. Almost nervous that I’ll get caught up in the sugar cravings again but think it’s a better approach than just winging it.
  • @gnawcraft keep course and stay steady! @glassgirlw2018 keep it up! I’m fighting the last few lbs to get to 300.
  • I’m close to my first 20 lb loss. And my goal is to be under 300 lbs by the end of the month.
  • @cheesy567 good luck with your medical issues. That’s so tough!
  • SW: 325 CW: 313 GW: 308 for June LTGW: 190 Weigh-ins Tuesday’s 6/8: 313 6/15: 306.4 6/22: 6/29 Total for June: I think I’m still shedding water weight!
  • @Gnawcraft don't be embarrassed! This is life, and we’ve all been there before. Could you set some of the treat aside and save them my for later? My take away from your update is that you are well loved by multiple people all over the world!!. Don’t let their expression of love distract you this week. It’s not the set back…
  • Sustainability over perfection. Coming up with a new lifelong strategy to fix my broken patterns. I’ve realized that I will *never* be over this, similar to those who work daily to maintain sobriety. When we consider all of the times we fell away and then came back with a vengeance, but it wasn’t sustainable and didn’t fit…
  • Today, I packed a new salad, as I’ve been trying to keep a lot of variety. It was spinach, blueberries, turkey, and walnuts mixed with mango salsa and peach balsamic vinegar. Much better than the frequent DQ I was grabbing previously.
  • Hi there! I’m 47, and have similar targets. SW 325, and have lost 11lbs so far. I’ve changed how I look at this completely as in that past when I focused on the total goal, I would give up far too soon. This time I’m down approx 4% of my SW. I only need to do that 10 more times, and I’ll be there! So my next goal is…
  • @StacieBugPrude, you are so right! I’ve been taking a giant bag of cut up veggies for the afternoon stress attack and it’s been helping immensely. I’ve consciously realized that it’s ok to be hungry for awhile (obvious to others) and that my prior routines weren’t helping anyway. I almost feel like smokers describe needing…
  • Nice to see you @Skittles2183! I’m so glad you are here. Excellent job @Cheesy567, I’m inspired that you are so close to your goal but still carefully thinking out a plan. I usually can’t gag down Greek yogurt, but I’ve been playing around with it, and freezing it after mixing with sugar free jello. It’s given me a little…
  • Mini goal is another 13 lbs of weight loss, which will represent 4% of my SW. Once I got that, I only need to do that 9 more times and I’ll be close to my GW. This time I’ve decided to take the small goal approach so that I don’t get overwhelmed and it seems to be working.
  • SW: 325 CW: 313 GW: 308 for June LTGW: 190 Weigh-ins Tuesday’s 6/8: 312.2 6/15: 6/22: 6/29 Total for June: The day after I posted my CW for June, it jumped back up to 318-315 for the rest of the week. I mentally knew that it was water retention and a stall. But I had been pushing my calories higher on a daily basis, and…
  • Cheesy, I’ve been looking for a good podcast, and listened to Halfsize Me today. I really like the format and will definitely add that to my day! I also had used Topomix in the past and it helped my migraines significantly.
  • Jenny, new (again) here and would love friends with open diaries! Realizing I have a major addiction and focused on tracking everything, even on bad days. SW: 325 CW: 313 GW: 308 for June LTGW: 190 Weigh-ins Tuesday’s 6/8: 6/15: 6/22: 6/29 Total for June: Cheesy, your progress gives me encouragement that this is achievable!
