Yesterday I had a visceral reaction to the chemo. One of the side effects is dermatitis. I have flair ups with that once in awhile. My hands turned blood red and broke out in rash. Fingers swelled up to twice their size. Fortunately I can call the oncologist on call and he gave me a remedy that helped.

@missionalman Thank you the prayers definitely work. I was feeling a little down this morning, I had planned on working but my cold is still kicking my butt. Went out on the porch to pray and it started to rain. The sun was out and sure enough there was a rainbow. Wow.

Had my first chemo treatment today. I feel fine just a little hopped up from the steroids I had to take last night at 8pm and 2am. I will be having six treatments every three weeks. One down five to go. Feeling much more secure and relaxed about everything.

@Jer2ber Oh my goodness thank you so much. Your message brought some tears to my eyes. Tomorrow is my final check up on the hysterectomy. Then first chemo Tuesday. I have been held through this all along. I am nervous and a little scared. But I know just like everything else happened this to will happen as it should!

@Dianedoessmiles1 I will probably post here. I will almost certainly be losing my hair purchased a wig on Saturday. It will take some getting used to. So much mor hair than I will ever have. It is a Raquel Welch wig. Very nice. I will try to have fun with it. Here is a picture of it. It is grey with white highlights.

Visit with oncologist yesterday. I have my first appt. for chemo November 21st. I will most certainly lose my hair. But the prognosis is really good with chemo projected 10% chance of it returning. 15% projected if I don't. I am going to do it and hopefully Dr. Duska will stick to 2-3 treatments. @Dianedoessmiles1 I will be at 4 weeks Thursday so all things considered I must be doing quite well. BTW I will most likely lose my hair. Oh well could be worse. A couple of my friends are going to help me buy some turbans.
