@MissMay I'm so sorry to hear you're leaving MFP, and am forever grateful that I found this discussion thread a few months ago. I hope all is well with you, and that whatever you do in life, it's filled with nothing but happiness, compassion and love, because that's what you brought to these threads every month, and it's…

April: AF=3 LA=1 A=5 I don't usually count LA days separate from A but, since what I thought was 2 glasses left in my Korbel bottle turned out to only be barely 1, I'm giving myself a huge pat on the back for not going to the store for another bottle, and switching out to herbal tea as planned. (I'll probably move it to…

@mfowler883 keeping your grandson in my thoughts for a quick and full recovery. @SurferGirl1982 Here in South Carolina there are no helmet laws, and most people I see on motorcycles on the road do not wear them.

April: AF=3 A=5 Started off the week well, yoga and tai chi on Monday and good calorie intake for the day. Tuesday started good with step/sculpt class for exercise, and good calorie intake for breakfast and lunch. But, I went a bit off the rails in the afternoon/night - 2 large, iced cinnamon rolls for dinner and 1 1/2…

@MissMay Congratulations on the half-year milestone, that's an awesome achievement. @margim5 best of luck on your weigh-in tomorrow - I'll have my fingers crossed for you. @SurferGirl1982 I think your AF days will come, stress very often sends us in the wrong direction, and it's only the first week of April.

April: AF=2 A=4 Small, attainable goals yesterday: AF day = DONE plan whole day's menu in the morning and log it ahead of time = halfway - planned lunchtime and logged One processed food (having that right now for breakfast) = had two instead of one (and a handful of jelly beans my SO brought from the store 😡) take a walk…

@globalhiker you said it yourself - Can't deal with discomfort by throwing wine or chocolate or tortilla chips at it. It sounds like you have some plans to deal with it, and just remember, none of those things you mentioned will help, they'll only make you feel even worse in the morning. I hope you have a successful night,…

April: AF=1 A=4 Looks like I'm starting my lofty spring goals today, I imbibed pretty heavily the last two days 🙄. Small, attainable goals for today: AF day plan whole day's menu in the morning and log it ahead of time. One processed food (having that right now for breakfast) take a walk around the neighborhood (gym is…

@Womona Thanks for the info on the effects of alcohol, there are so many things it does to harm our bodies and minds. @NonnieDoiron Homemade bread is always delicious, enjoy. @mfowler883 Nice job with the LA days. Sorry to hear about the migraine, I hope it cleared up quickly.

I've set some lofty goals for myself for spring: AF for the rest of April and all of May and June. Drop 7 pounds per month during these three months - that will put me at my goal weight. Only allow one meal per day to contain ultra-processed food (not counting condiments). All other meals and snacks have to be whole foods…

@globalhiker Congratulations on the 7 months!!! That's very inspirational. Water/club soda with lemon actually sounds really good heading into spring/summer. @Michieb125 I like the goals you've set for yourself, they're totally attainable. @SurferGirl1982 congratulations on the new car. I had a bump up in weight also, it…

@NonnieDoiron and @chicbuc I feel like I was in a similar boat - too much wine and too many calories. I gained just a couple pounds, but since I'm supposed to losing a two pound gain was aggravating. @tmbg1 congratulations on a successful March, I'm sure you'll continue on in April. @mfowler883 I'm with you on the…

@itladyee thank you for bringing in the info list - I love reading this at the beginning of every month. My back hurts from sitting too long today, but I'll be back tomorrow to catch up with everyone.

I second this!!

March: AF: 11 A: 20 Not quite what I was hoping for from myself for this month, but I will see you all in April. Have a great night!

March: AF: 10 A: 18 @Michieb125 skipping the complimentary booze of any kind is always a huge win - Congrats!

@Womona Hey fellow Jersey Girl 😃 - I was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Edison, NJ from about 2 years old. Graduated Rutgers in 1987!

March: AF: 8 A: 17 Jersey trip was almost half AF/half A (3/4). I did manage to really control myself at the wedding - only four glasses of wine mixed with sips of water over the 5 hour event. The wedding was loads of fun and the venue was beautiful (a repurposed mill in Media, PA called Kings Mills). Got home yesterday…

March: AF: 5 A: 12 I'm heading out to NJ today and probably won't be around for a week (I hating doing MFP or any other typing stuff on my phone, thumbs don't work well for me 😠). My niece is getting married so we're spending the week up there with family. @SurferGirl1982 glad you're safe and hope your car can be fixed.…

March: AF: 3 A: 9 @SurferGirl1982 nice job on the AF day yesterday. @SunnyDays930 is so right - focus on the hour or day. @Michieb125 glad to hear your Mom didn't get too badly hurt.

@NonnieDoiron and @globalhiker the street next to us used to have litter sign that was oddly specific, it said the littering fine was $1039.50, yes it actually said 50 cents! It was just replace about 6 months ago with a new sign that now says "over $1000.00". I guess that way they can keep changing the fine without…

@itladyee thank you for the birthday card and the condolences. @Womona glad the quote thing is working for you. @SurferGirl1982 I didn't realize the quotes are no longer editable, that really is a bummer. I'm with you - I would often edit for just the sentence or two to which I was replying. Congrats to MFP, one step…

My March: AF: 2 A: 7 I'm going away next week for about 10 days and have a ton of stuff to do before then, so I really have to lay off the wine for this week so I get everything done. Generally, once I start drinking, I don't do much more work-wise for the day, and the next morning I feel like crap and have a hard time…
