I've been looking at getting James as well - let me know if it's worth it. :)

He's got another Penn Cage novel coming out May 28th - already have mine on preorder.

Great job @Catfish_Fan :) My only goal this year is to read 28+ books by December 31st.

Cemetary Road - Greg Isles

Finally finished A Storm of Swords - George R.R. Martin - had trouble getting back into the saga since it had been quite a few months since I read the previous book. Was great once I found time to focus on it. Now reading The Last Days of John Lennon - James Patterson. The title's a misnomer the parts about John Lennon…

Thanks @Catfish_Fan - will definitely look at those sites.

Finished Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury - just loved it. Can't believe I never read it before. Next up - A Storm of Swords - George R.R. Martin.
-
Cool - I'm in the top 10 percent- I read 31 books in 2023.
-
That looks like fun.
-
Ok - I want to read that book based on it's cover alone. LOL

Finished The Confession by Jessie Burton - 3.5 stars. Next up is Dandelion Wine - Ray Bradbury

I second that! I find so much here to add to my TBR list.

@Catfish_Fan - that's quite a lot of reading. Well done! I surpassed my good reads goal of 24 books( still read real books, and work full time). 2 books a month is generally a goal I can meet. So I upped my good read challenge to 28 for 2024. Final total for 2023 was 31 - I've only done that once before in 2016. Time will…

@FitMary202 - At the end I was forcing myself to finish books I would probably not have otherwise. But I did also find a couple of authors that I would like to read more of, so wasn't a total loss of time.

Hi Mike - welcome to our little group.

@Catfish_Fan -Way to go!

@FitMary202 - Enjoy your down time. I'm on a long weekend for Christmas myself. It rained the past 2 days in Phoenix and I managed to sit down by the fireplace and finish my A-Z challenge. Today I'm starting The Confession by - Jessie Burton

Well done Catfish_Fan! I finished our A to Z author challenge last night. I'm glad I did it - but I think that one is definitely a one and done challenge. At least for me. I think this year I'm just going to focus on my Goodreads challenge of number of books read. As for my GoodReads challenge this year I read 31 books out…

I did it - with a week to spare! But I have to agree with @Catfish_Fan - life is too short to read bad books. This challenged introduced me to a couple of authors I might not have read, but it also had me finishing things I might not have if it had not fit a certain letter of the alphabet. I could not have done this…

Finally, I was able to finish A Green and Ancient Light. - It was a great book, but every time I'd sit down to read life would interrupt. I'm saving this one to read again when it can have my full attention. Next Cutting for Stone -Abraham Verghese

I really enjoyed The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice as well. I've been thinking I'd like to reread the first one - Interview with a Vampire. Don't know if I'd go through the entire series again - but I do have them in a box so maybe. This year I started 2 series - The Game of Thrones and City of Bones. I can't decide…
