  • i hate doing exercise just for the sake of exercise. i like to be productive in my cardio, gardening or walking with my kids. i absolutely hate running or doing aerobic type of videos.
  • extending the distance of my daily walks, yet noticing it doesn't take me as long to walk as it used to. can't wait to get into single digit pants sizes again.
  • good point! i was feeling the guilt because i already know today's gonna be an "over" day. I'm just tired and don't feel like working out. however, I'm usually very consistent, and i think I'll be more motivated to work harder tomorrow if i just give it a rest today.
  • thanks! i am starting to notice improvements in my endurance and speed. a month ago, it took me fifteen minutes to walk ten laps with my kiddos in the wagon, now i can do it in ten. I'm feeling much more capable. it's almost aggravating! lol! I'll add extra steps on my walk and still get the same time! i don't have a…
  • should i switch up my exercises? I've been walking my kids in a wagon and sometimes doing a beginner hiit routine. i burn more calories by walking and it's less intense, so i think i should just double up my walking time. but it's probably just as important to have variety in my routine, so I'm not entirely sure. over been…
  • That's fantastic! I can't imagine how hard it must have been to push through that kind of pain starting at square one! Slow incremental progress. I'll keep that in mind. It's so easy to get discouraged when I see so many people who are doing all of these amazing things. I'll just have to keep at it and work my way up to…
  • Just curious, your workout sounds very strenuous, just wondering how many calories you burn? Not trying to be rude or obtrusive. I hate exercise to be honest. I force myself to do a beginner HIIT routine, which I have yet to fully conquer. Then I just do work in the garden, tilling, pulling weeds, cleaning, etc... Still…
  • Great job!! Your descriptions of workouts in the beginning are so inspiring. I'm at the two week mark now, and just stepped up my exercise routine because the results just aren't coming fast enough. It's hard. It's discouraging to not see results yet. I still am not able to complete exercise videos (like HIIT or taebo)…
  • Newborn stage is the easiest when you finally get into the groove of it, I think. It takes a minute to figure out your babies routine, and sometimes, as soon as you get it figured out THEY'LL CHANGE IN YOU! lol just do what you can and give yourself grace when things don't go perfectly. Maybe smaller exercise tasks, like…
  • i think it depends on your lifestyle and age. with my first i was 24 and worked full time (cashier/cook) up until the day he was born, then switched to weekends only, and exclusively breastfed. i only retained about ten pounds if that. with baby number two, i worked two days a week, and exclusively breastfed. kept about…
  • does anyone have any input about the dreaded c section pooch?
  • not really a myth, but i wish it was: 1. aging has no effect on metabolism 2. child birth/pregnancy has little effect after the child is born and the pregnancy is over. . . geez i wish that was just a myth
  • I'm a mother of three, three years and under. I've been pregnant for the last three years almost. now my youngest is mine months old and my stomach is hideous. I'm bigger than I've ever been in all body parts, but my stomach doesn't even feel like a part of my body any more. my c section left me with a "pooch" that just…
  • I've been working in the garden for two hours a day yesterday and the day before, tilling and pulling weeds. I'm trying to stay more active as a general rule. my babies (3 under 3) kept me up all night last night and i feel lazy today. need some motivation and tough love.
